President Trump is headed back to Texas next week for two more campaign rallies as he tries to help Ken Paxton in the close U.S. Senate race there. Tuesday, Oct. 27: ‣ 2:30pm CT in Lubbock ‣ 6pm CT in Waco

A senior White House official confirms to Spectrum News that @KatieZacharia is “transitioning out” of her role as White House Press Secretary that she started just five days ago.

📍San Antonio, TX President Trump just took the stage for his latest midterm campaign rally. “Please pretend I’m on the ballot,” he urges his supporters. Texas U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton is here along with current Senator Ted Cruz.

I’m excited to represent Spectrum News in the White House travel pool today for President Trump’s trip to San Antonio. It’s my first time on Air Force One and comes as the president is criss-crossing the country in the final stretch before Election Day. (The Qatari-gifted AF1 is back in rotation after receiving modifications) We’re headed to San Antonio for a midterm campaign rally with U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton and Texas U.S. House candidates. This marks Trump’s third trip to the Lone Star State in less than a month — a not-so-subtle acknowledgment of how nervous the GOP is about key races there. • Oct. 7: Rally in San Antonio • Oct. 1: Event at truck plant in Denton • Sept. 9/10: RNC Convention in Dallas President Trump won Texas by 14 points in 2024, but recent polls show the races for Senate and Governor are much tighter.

Today I asked President Trump about the U.S. Senate races in North Carolina and Ohio ⬇️ Me: "Are you more concerned with Michael Whatley’s Senate race or Jon Husted’s?" Trump: "I think that Jon Husted picked up a lot since we left. You know, we did a big rally for Jon and Jon’s great, he’s in Ohio. And I think he’s doing very well against a very poor candidate in Sherrod Brown who they threw out years ago. I think that he’s doing well. And I would be very happy to see Michael Whatley do well. He’s a fantastic man. He led the whole Republican Party. You have a governor, an ex-governor, who’s very weak on crime. He’s the worst on crime – may be the worst in the whole country on crime. And North Carolina’s been suffering crime. I would love to see Michael Whatley win."
