When I was a little girl I had a special hiding spot in the top of a big gnarled tree. It had beautiful pink blossoms in spring. I'd read, watch birds w/binoculars, write stories, & enjoy the gentle swish of the branches. Free & safe. I wish I could go there now.🌸

And books! ...she would buy them all over and over again; she would buy up every copy, I believe, to prevent their falling into unworthy hands; and she would have every book that tells her how to admire an old twisted tree. -Sense and Sensibility Jane Austen

I love dressing very nerdy when I teach piano lessons. It's like a disguise....My students will never know I was a wild Montana cowgirl or a sultry jazz club pianist or a dramatic poet reading Keats at shady late night coffee houses wearing heels and red lipstick. 😘

I love the fact that in his heart Alexander the Great was just a horse girl like me. We would've been besties. #Bucephalus

That moment when you realize your new mascara is WATERPROOF and it's going to take 7 years to get it off your face before you can go to sleep. Why?!?!!!!! 😭

I once dated this troubled genius who was ardently rewriting Finnegans Wake into a world of cows. He had a claw foot tub in his bedroom unconnected to water that he sat in while he ruminated and smoked cigarettes. I often wonder if he ever finished his project. 🤔🐄

I just saw the new Sense and Sensibility and it was absolutely fantastic!!! Not a Hollywood glam version but intensely beautiful cinematic storytelling. I loved it.

I'm spending tomorrow in prayer and contemplation at The Shrine of Divine Mercy. Any book recommendations?

I got a blood test today to check on some things that were elevated in my blood work last month. After cancer, all health things make me terrified. 😖

In school I loved studying the Bayeux Tapestry. 17 year old me would be absolutely disgusted that I've never gone to see it....WTF have you been doing all this time?!? Guhhhh! (These are the regrets I have when I stay up too late.)

I live in New England and the fall foliage here is spectacular! I really enjoy using Google lens on the leaves to identify the tree species. 🍂🍁🍂🍁☺️🍁🍂🍁🍂

I walked through a historical neighborhood full of huge Victorians this morning. I stopped to admire one that was beautifully decorated for fall. A gentleman came out of the front door to thank me for noticing his home. We had a lovely little chat. New friend. Day improved. 🍁
