The fact that someone might stay in a job they hate because they’re afraid of losing access to medical care should bother us more than it does.

Both parties have had full control of the government multiple times in 30 years.
Healthcare is still broken.
Housing is still unaffordable.
Wages are still stagnant.
At some point, the argument that one side is the solution stops being believable.
My Man!!
The best thing about life right now is that I have peace. Too often, we focus on what we don’t have instead of thanking God for the opportunities, loved ones, and relationships we do have. Take the time today to recognize your blessings, and say, “God, I thank You.” #Blessed🙏🏽
Thankful to have a job where I get to work with high school coaches. Man!….. so many of them have set such a good example for me to follow @MCISDAthletics @CoachKOMiller @saincilaire

Today, I will not give my burdens more energy than my blessings.
My challenges may be real, but so is God's goodness.
I choose gratitude over worry, faith over fear, and peace over doubt.
Happy Sunday!

As physicians we have taken an oath.
To put the patient first.
To act in their best interest.
To uphold the highest ethical standards.
The people running insurance and pharmaceutical companies have not taken the same oath.
They care most about making profits for their shareholders.
Yet, their business decisions affect how we practice medicine.
Therein lies the problem.

I went to a networking event at a local hospital where I take courtesy call for my patients. The number of internal medicine, family medicine, nephrologists, ER physicians who came up asking how to refer patients to an independent practice was eye-opening.
These are employed physicians looking outside their own system for care options for their patients. That says something about how care is actually being delivered.
Looks like #UPMC has it right: put patients first. #PatientsFirst

Hospitals defend their tax exemptions by pointing to everything they do for the community.
Try settling your hospital bill with a paragraph about everything you do for the community.
This common… and it is a tragedy

@UHC up to their usual denial of surgery again today.
Young man with a flipped bucket handle tear of his meniscus. Sole provider for his household, does work that requires him to go up and downstairs and use ladders and can’t walk. They refuse to approve his surgery. My surgery scheduler has spent two hours on the phone calling different people and different departments to no avail. Guy pays about $2000 a month premiums for his health insurance “coverage“ with a $5000 deductible.
This is what everybody is frustrated about in America with health insurance.

Yet, if we have the audacity to lose one game, they wanna string him up! It always amazes me how fast folks get used to & demand Perrier water when they’ve been drinking hose water for 40 years. Gotta love it! LOL! 98% of the college programs in America would kill for those #’s

@UHC net profits attributed to shareholders for the Q1-Q3 of ‘26 were $15.87B.
Let’s not let anyone claim legitimately that physicians and hospitals are a main cause of the affordability issues in US healthcare.
