From Trump to Ramaswamy: How Child Rape and Family Abuse Became the New GOP Playbook
This is the kind of attack ad that ends a politician's career. But I'm not talking about Amy Acton's career — I'm talking about Vivek Ramaswamy, who has proven himself to be an absolute bucket of piss, shit, and vomit.
While I expected desperate Republicans to reach new lows, Vivek Ramaswamy's recruitment of Amy Acton's estranged mother is beyond the pale. Ramaswamy's new attack ad is a level of vile degeneracy not even I anticipated.
For 48 years, Amy Acton has had no relationship with her mother. The most revealing aspect of this situation is that Ramaswamy had no qualms about approving a hit job from an estranged parent who chose to stay married to the pedophile who raped her daughter at age 12.
Before Acton's sexually abusive stepfather, Cledith Arthur, could stand trial, he fled the state and became a fugitive. He managed to evade justice for years, remaining on the run until his death in 2004.

This is Vivek's hack spokeswoman Connie Luck, who thinks that 12-year-old girls lie about being raped by their abusive stepfathers—or at least she is willing to say so for a paycheck. Her company's phone number is 973-327-9550.
.@VivekGRamaswamy campaign responds:

ALT Attributable to Connie Luck, spokesperson for the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign: “We don't know what happened between Amy and her mother, who first spoke out about Amy in 2020, but we know that Amy Acton is a serial fabulist who has some serious problems with the truth that the public needs to be aware of before deciding who to entrust as governor.

At some point a political party's repeated decisions to take the side of pedophiles and abusers stops being a coincidence!

The court records speak for themselves. Vivek Ramaswamy’s ad is disgusting—there is no lie, no scam, and no shameful act too low for him.

Yes, court records and 1978 Youngstown Vindicator reports confirm Cledith "Bud" Arthur was arrested and charged with raping 12-year-old Amy Acton. He pleaded not guilty; she testified. He fled Ohio on bond with her mother before trial. Warrants issued; he was never convicted and died in 2004.

Agreed. Why would Amy lie about her upbringing. I sure hope she gets the help she needs. Her mother seems to care deeply about her wellbeing.

This is the second time Vivek Ramaswamy has attacked Amy Acton for being a child victim of abuse and SA.
Her mother, featured in the new attack ad, remained married to her attacker until he died and after she was removed by her father.
In April of this year, Vivek Ramaswamy mocked her, "complain[ing] about what someone else did to her."
Right on brand.
42% of Indian girls are sexually abused by the age of 19. Are we normalizing this behavior in Ohio now?

The @VivekGRamaswamy ad will backfire. His biggest vulnerability is that people like think he is a sleazy asshole, and this ad validates that impression

New Information on the Acton Attack Ad - It's dirtier than you thought.
It's seems at the same time the influencers got ahold of the video last night it was sent out by Dynata, a research and data vendor.
The video with no disclaimer "paid for" was distributed to voters via text, to a test market on how the video would be received publicly. These are client commissioned surveys.
Newsweek @NewsWire_US and The Hill @thehill have been unable to determine who funded the Acton attack Ad. IE: PAC, campaign, donor.
By leaking the ad under the guise of political research, it subverts Ohio Revised Code for campaign communications that require a disclosure for who paid for it.
It has not been determined how the video was leaked to influencers, who circulated it on X simultaneously.
This could be a big problem.

actually this is a savvy move out of Vivek's campaign
he's appealing to the fastest growing pillars of the GOP voter base: estranged, resentful parents and child predators

Any Acton’s mother had no problem with her husband sexually abusing her daughter at 12 years old.
So it’s not surprising she’s a Republican.

If I had a nickel for every time Vivek put someone married to a pedophile in his campaign ad, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

1/ I think I may know why Trump went on a rant about killing leakers. He thinks the DOJ may deliver to Judge Sullivan the FBI's handwritten notes of the interview of a 13 year-old rape victim describing Trump's rape and brutal battery.

Amazingly, @VivekGRamaswamy has used paid media to make himself even MORE unlikable. Just a remarkable achievement.
