R17 Singapore 2026 Simulation Qualy ⏱️1.31.567 (2.409s vs 2025 RUS pole Top speed = 304 km/h 55.3% full throttle (lap time) 6.205MJ recovered all coming from braking and partial throttle, no lift and coast for qualy lap No FIA doc published yet but Rev1 power curve applied where at 200 kph the MGU-K power starts decreasing vs 337.5 kph the overtake mode in normal conditions 2.1km are straight mode (5 zones) Major losses vs 2025 lap time in T1-2, T5, T16-17 and T18-19 #f1 #singaporeGP

Very likely we will have a new power curve for Singapore as we did have in Monaco. FIA claims safety as top speed could be too high for a street circuit, if we include aero active, full MGU-K power possible to achieve during longer time as recovery will be high, and also tow....

Pirelli overview for Singapore GP - High traction means more degradation in rear tyres - High braking despite of not having long straights. High temperatures and urban circuit make it very difficult for the brakes as they are difficult to cool (everyone probably remember what happened to Hamilton last year) - No high speed corners = low lateral load = low degradation in front tyres - Track evolution is huge as it is a street circuit, so we will see rapid changes in qualy as the sessions go, the track will get much faster Energy should not be a problem as there is a lot of areas for recharging and I am assuming recovery limit would be 8.5 or 9MJ in qualy too. * Rumors about having power curve like Monaco...not great as this conditions the position of some cars but let's see. #f1 #singaporeGP

FIA backs what I mentioned at the beginning of the race. These cars are learning machines, as soon as there is big mixture of conditions, high probability of software issue...
What most likely happened in that formation lap? In wet conditions, FIA rules reduce max ERS deployment, while the energy counter is reset at the start of the formation lap. Then, add Safety Car + low grip. This puts the PU in a very unusual operating window due to low speed, low throttle, wet torque limits, unusual harvesting/deployment and start/formation lap logic all interacting together. Since the throttle pedal is a torque request and not a mechanical command, the driver probably pressed 30% pedal for example and MGU-K + ICE torque allowed didn't 'respond' to that request causing a 'no power' situation. ABSOLUTELY JOKE of regulations....

According to my simulation, lap on inters should be around 12% slower, but obviously in wet conditions this changes very quick as the track dry up

Yesterday's degradation in FP1 and FP2 was about 0.5s/lap for medium and soft tyres Today's in FP3, soft tyre degradation went up to 0.6s/lap, but the most shocking is the hard tyres that degraded about 0.5s/lap The medium tyre was behaving better with only 0.3s/lap but less used than yesterday. It looks like we will see almost no Hard tyre use during the race and it will all keep to 2-3 stops swapping soft and medium tyres

Energy management footprint (est.) Highest deployment = Hadjar Most clipping = Norris Most recovery through braking = Sainz Most recovery through LiCO = Gasly Most recovery through partial throttle = Colapinto Most ICE used = Antonelli

Has Ferrari o Mercedes any chance to beat Verstappen tomorrow? Well, only S2, the RedBull is about 0.3s slower but in S1 and S3 (opportunities for overtake), Verstappen is very strong. Just a curiosity, T5 is full throttle for Mercedes but not for Ferrari or RedBull, in fact, Verstappen drop the throttle to 43% only and that probably makes him recharge a bit more battery to utilise in S3 where he was almost 0.5s faster than HAM. Verstappen is about 4-5 kph faster in the main straight than the Ferrari and the Mercedes #f1 #sepang #bahrainGP
