We’ve just hit 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS on the subreddit!
Thanks to everyone who’s been a member of the community over the past ~8 years. It’s been incredible to watch how much both the subreddit and @CSGO has grown over the years.
❤️🥳

Happy 25th birthday to the greatest video game ever made, Counter-Strike.
A Half-Life mod which has spawned communities, created memories, and established the greatest esport of them all. We're grateful to have the most passionate players in gaming.
Here's to 25 more! 🎂🎉
We need your help with r/place! Let's represent @CounterStrike!

As you have probably noticed r/GlobalOffensive is still private in protest, due to Reddit's recent API changes, which you can read more about in the link:
mashable.com/article/reddit-…
Due to the lack of meaningful change, we will remain private for the time being.
We will re-evaluate our stance on the 19th of June. We will keep updating you in the relevant channels, as we go along with this extension.
If you wish to continue discussing CS in general you can join the Discord discord.gg/cs-2, or kbin: kbin.social/m/cs

Release Notes for today are up. More Counter-Strike 2 fixes incoming: steamcommunity.com/games/CSG…
r/GlobalOffensive has gone temporarily private as part of a sitewide blackout in protest of Reddit's recent API changes which will kill third-party mobile apps. To discuss Counter-Strike in the meantime, you might be interested in joining the Discord at discord.gg/cs-2.
Hey @CounterStrike if you want some feedback and see what the community thinks about the recent CS2 changes, you can check the Game Update thread.
Spoiler:: "Let more of us play please!"
reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive…
As you might have already heard, starting June 1st, Reddit will implement a policy, that will rise the price of their API, from being free, to a level which many independent 3rd party apps are unable to meet.

We do what we do because we love Reddit and the community we have built together, and we truly believe this change will worsen the experience for everyone which will prevent us from doing what we love. -- (7/8)
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action. -- (8/8)
