In my (biased) opinion one of the best stories of the year:
Hunter Eichhorn has officially locked up his pga tour card via KFT. As a reminder, this is a kid who played golf 5 months a year in High School.
He lived in the UP of Michigan in a tiny town and would not touch a club for 7months.
He grew up in a a middle class family and traveling for big junior events was out of the question.
Yet he earned a scholarship to @MarquetteMGolf and became one of their best players in the history of the program.
Prior to college he had never even been on a plane. Despite all that, he will be on the pga tour next season.
Remarkable and why the KFT is my favorite tour in the world.
I am going with Ag Day and Week 3 home match ups against ranked teams in years ending in 6 as precursors. 48-28 Cards. 326 yards passing

For all the kids out there:
Ryan Fox played golf for the first time at 13 , didn’t play in a competitive tournament until he was 18 , didn’t win his first big amateur event until he was 24 and didn’t turn pro until the age of 25.
He is now a major champion

The more I learn about the Indiana Elite golf tourney at Winding Ridge, the more I feel bad for the parents who signed up for it.
Charging patrons is a joke.
The success KY based kids have in college golf is a positive reflection on all the KY based Jr Tours. BGT, KPGA Jr Tour, GO Series, SE KY Jr Tour, Lex Parks Tour, First Tee, and many teaching pros invested in Junior golf. #BGT #SameChurchDifferentPews #Roots
I like to use the line “Let the Cake Bake”, it applies to growing at age appropriate yardages instead of rushing to play longer tees. Learning to score is difficult. Pathways are different for everyone, but I personally like this approach.

Golf is the game of life lessons. Aaron Rai beautifully describes what makes this game so special. ❤️

Congratulations to Warren Central’s Joe Hood and Henderson County’s Jessica Grace as recipients of the 2025 Stewart Gregory Awards. img.bluegolf.org/files/blueg…
Observation from across the river, but extremely impressed by cooperation between @IHSAA1 @indianahsgolf @IndianaGolf with HS golf Championships. Also allows positive contributions from @Fromthecartpath as well. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I am a proud PGA Member, and PGA owns and operates the Ryder Cup. However, I am embarrassed by the behavior of the fans and the lack of foresight by PGA Officers and staff managing the event. Paying players while revenues don’t go to 30k members. #DoBetter

In 2020, the BGT hosted Fall 9-H Series at “Majestic” Paul Walker GC. Two players in that event are now in US Amateur (@ClaycombCooper and Luke Poulter). Good luck to both this week!
