Very proud to have pastoral care of this church. Not only is the building full of treasures the congregation are wonderful. I love its undulating roof that gives it so much character but we now need to replace the roof before the windows (where the minstrels gallery was) fall in
Our #ChurchOfTheWeek this week is Tremeirchion Corpus Christi, Denbighshire. The oldest surviving part of the church likely dates back to the 12th century, and the church has a number of architectural gems. 📸 (c) Peter Wood 1/2

Starting to lose track now of quite how many harvest festivals and harvest assemblies I've been to over the past couple of weeks. But this afternoon is Messy Harvest and I'm in charge of the thankful owls

Slightly later services this morning means time to go and pray with the seals first, as the sun was rising. Healing balm of God's creation.

Today is all about 'traditional'rural village life. Started at the monthly Village Market in Tremeirchion for freshly made pork pie, sausage rolls and cakes. Then onto the church open day/gift day in Bodfari

Harvest season has arrived. For the next month I get to become all Vicar of Dibley and run between harvest lunches and suppers. Already blown away by the generosity of our church congregations for the foodbank despite being in a cost of living crisis.

Two churches in Denbigh Mission Area are finalists in this year's National Church Awards Corpus Christi in the Volunteer awards and Ss Mary & Nefydd in Open for Visitors. CC have now fixed so many gates I had to order 15 more signs #forestchurch @NationalChurch @StAsaphDiocese

I love the variety of my job. Since I came back at the end of August I have baptised 4 children. Whose favourite things have been Shrek, rockets and Toad building a road. Or in related bible stories - Samuel the kingmaker, Magi and the star, and The paralysed man through the roof

Tomorrow's baptisms involve sheep (that one's easy - Cecil the Lost sheep) and Iggle Piggle (Jesus walks on the Water). Never cease to be amazed by the beautiful prayers the guests write for the children being baptised. #loveMyJob 2/2

Taken one of the choir member's recommendation and come to the cathedral to hear Elijah. Just looking at the top of the choir seating makes me feel a little queasy 😳🤣

Hoping it is OK to be proud of your Churches. 2 churches in the Mission Area have been shortlisted for the @NatChurchTrust Awards. Tremeirchion for Volunteers Award and Llannefydd for Visitors Award. I really am incredibly proud of all those people who work so hard for Jesus. /1

Corpus Christi in Tremeirchion have really taken Forest Church to heart. Not just holding services where they introduce people to Jesus through God's creation, but have fixed lots of local stiles and gates and cleared the footpaths. And created a community herb garden /2

Ss Mary and Nefydd in Llannefydd faced closure but have worked so hard to turn that around. Producing a church that is regularly visited by pilgrims. Along with welcoming @CatrinFinch for a concert, and amazing flower and Christmas tree festivals @StAsaphDiocese /3
