The point to the anti-Israel genocide libel is to test who is so militantly committed to the anti-Israel cause that they will repeat any anti-Israel slur, no matter how manifestly untrue.
"Civilians did die in Gaza, but perhaps half of all Arabs killed there were not civilians but rather active Hamas combatants, although they ordinarily did not wear uniforms so as to blend in with the civilian population.
Israel was clearly targeting Hamas but was not able, because of the location of the war as well as because of Hamas’s efforts, to avoid all noncombatants"

If only the tsar knew!
Something has gone terribly wrong for Jewish safety in Canada since October 7th. This is not a one off. The issue isn’t that the Canadian government is hostile or indifferent to Jewish safety, it is sympathetic but too feeble, when it comes to sectarianism, anti-terror and law enforcement, to do anything about it. In a lot of ways that’s more frightening.

My ancestor Moses Montefiore, a British magnate, knew everyone from sultans to tsars in the Victorian era. In the 1820s, he befriended Muhammad Ali, Turco-Albanian ruler of Egypt. Nowadays, I admire how Moses coped with anti-Semitism. Attending a royal dinner, a bigot denounced him: ‘I just visited Japan which I loved because Japan has no Jews and no pigs!’ ‘Then you and I should go to Japan together,’ answered Montefiore. ‘So they have one of each.’

Some questions about what is often presented as a settled legal norm, and not heaven forbid an invented rule that applies to Jews and the Jewish state.

I have just landed in Cyprus to express my commitment to support for Cypriot communities in the search for a comprehensive & sustainable settlement of the Cyprus issue.
The @UN cannot impose peace.
Only Cypriots, through their leaders, can build it.

There's no way Egypt could have lost three wars to Israel and a soccer game to Argentina.
It had to be rigged. There's no other explanation.

So simply advocating for a dialectical materialism that would see a vanguard seize the means of production in order to accelerate the establishment of a dictatorship of the proletariat makes you a "communist" now?

It is in those circles that since around 2015 racism is the touchstone sin. And where nothing can ever be as bad as racism, nothing can ever be more thrilling than indulging in racism against a race you believe really deserve it.

Was at the WH Correspondents dinner last night, a rare DC trip for me without a subpoena. On the positive side—was exciting, no one was killed, and ended early. I noted a new litmus for status among the gov’t elite—whether you were whisked away by secret service, or left to fend.
