Syntax & toolchain for OCaml

Joined May 2016
I'm planning to start a video blog to critique iOS apps's UI/UX. It'll be hopefully funny, insightful and packed with trivias. If you'd like to see your app getting r̶o̶a̶s̶t̶e̶d̶ critiqued, gimme a ping or DM! (No charge, but also no promise)

The formatter for the new syntax is available for testing. You can also use it as a way of learning the new syntax, see more details in the post reasonml.chat/t/the-formatte…

Haven't tried it yet but the better error messages alone will help SO MUCH. Also love that they make a lot of JS interop much easier by putting less syntax around it. No semicolons are also awesome, seen this trip up so many JS devs. 🏆🤗

The forthcoming BuckleScript version 8 will be the largest release since the initial open source! The initial goal that make the fastest JS target compiler generate the fastest JS code — an ambitious goal & bold claim will become true.

genType is an absolute gem in the Reason ecosystem when doing TS / JS / Flow interop. Unfortunately the tool is not really well documented on any Reason / BS related website. We want to change that and provide first class support for genType in the new documentation platform!

Another important thing we do is that we have every thing under control (very few dependencies and all vendored) so that essentially we can optimize the whole pipeline

It is easy to have compiler perf regression when you add features, why #bucklescript is so fast? whenever we add a new feature, we do optimisations from little things like github.com/BuckleScript/buck… github.com/BuckleScript/buck…, even one byte matters, perf regression is a bug to us

A post about what's coming in next release of BuckleScript: loading stdlib from memory, installation time is 10 times faster and postinstall free on Tier one supported arch(Linux/Mac/Windows), compilation time should also be faster, feedback is welcome! bucklescript.github.io/blog/…

I love how the reasonml community is so... supportive I just started in the language and, even though I've never tried to interact with anyone, a lot of people came to me just because of my tweets I've never felt so happy about adopting a language before

We are working on in memory loading cm* files for @reasonml compiler: #bucklescript, once finished, it will be a game changer for distribution and potentially even faster build.
