🎉 Congrats to Yisroel Dorfman on winning a $10K Impact Award in @HHSGov’s LymeX Visible Voices Prize. Their “Your Symptom Record” card helps patients organize fluctuating, multi-system symptoms so clinicians can easily see the full picture. Patient-driven tools like this close a gap in Lyme diagnosis. 👏
Teamwork depends on unity of purpose. When you focus on the same goal, have trust, & work together, you'll achieve more than you would alone. Whether you’re on a sports team or flight crew, unity keeps your efforts from splintering. Is your team unified towards a shared purpose?
When I was in the Air Force, I knew I wasn’t flying sorties all alone. It took aircraft maintainers, weapons crew, the intel team, & wingmen checking each other’s six to accomplish the mission. If any of us missed something, I felt it in the cockpit.

Teamwork gets real when someone says, “I blew it,” & another person says, “I’ve been there. I’ve got you.”
That takes trust.

✨Hard work alone won’t always carry you through when things get tough. 💪But grit will, because it’s hard work that lasts. 👉Is your effort pointed toward reaching your ultimate goal?

Every mission starts with a flight plan.
Even if conditions change or priorities shift, your team will be able to handle the turbulence when there’s a clear plan in place. Great teams don’t need perfect conditions, they need a leader who provides clarity and trust. 🧵(1/2)
⭐Effort is > than skill.
I once heard a leader say to his team, “I don’t care if we fail due to ability; I care if we fail due to effort.”
𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙖𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩. 𝙀𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚. Effort earns teams chances to improve. That leads to success.🎯
I've always believed that hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
I've seen incredibly talented people coast on their natural abilities, and I've watched people with less talent run circles around them simply because they were willing to put in the work. 🧵(1/3)
People trust the teammate who shows up prepared, puts in the effort, asks for feedback, and keeps working to get better. That matters whether you're flying fighter jets or working in an office. 🧵(2/3)

ALT A woman in a dark blazer stands at a podium on stage, gesturing toward a large screen displaying four military jets in formation with smoke trails against a blue sky. A seated audience of several hundred people fills the foreground, watching the presentation in what appears to be a large indoor event venue with industrial ceiling and modern lighting.

On Halloween, scary creatures lurk in the dark: 🕷️𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗦, hiding along overgrown paths, in leaf piles & tall grass. In costume, use 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 to avoid a horror story.😱

Worries… fears… most of what keeps us up at night never actually happens. Our imaginations are vivid, but reality is more muted. And as Stoic philosopher Seneca says, “We suffer more in imagination than in reality.”
Do you feel overloaded? Are you under stress? Does it seem like you’re being tested? These are the moments that will shape you as a leader.

We need our crucibles because they push us beyond our comfort zones, test our limits, & challenge our beliefs. They transform us by building our inner strength, refining our purpose, & shaping us into leaders others can trust.
