I had to lean into flexibility many times as a fighter pilot. A mission changed mid-flight… a plan fell apart and required me to pivot… the unexpected demanded a decision on the fly and fast. Staying flexible helped me lead effectively in high-risk situations. 🧵(2/3)

Your adaptability makes you approachable. When you get back up after a defeat, people appreciate the effort and commitment it shows. In those moments, you show up as a superhero in your own story, and that resilience is your superpower. 🧵(2/2)

🔥Leadership isn’t a popularity contest. It’s holding the line when support fades. Sticking to your standards isn’t stubbornness. 💪It’s strength. Using the courage of your convictions turns vision into reality. ⭐Stand firm. The path to success rarely starts w/a crowd of allies.

When others negatively react to your growth, it’s not a reflection of your worth. Their reactions are sometimes about how they feel when the dynamic changes. 🧵(1/2)

If they're uncomfortable because it reflects their insecurities & fears, that’s not a verdict on who you are. But if their discomfort is a red flag for something that might be worth examining, that’s an opportunity for self-reflection. 🧵(2/2)

“Some people will never like you because your spirit irritates their demons.” ~Denzel Washington People won’t always cheer you on because your growth intimidates them. It triggers their insecurity & forces them to confront feelings of inadequacy & unfulfilled potential. 🧵(1/3)

When people question your confidence, minimize your hard work, & cut down the standards you’ve set for yourself, remember: that’s not a sign that you should quit, it’s a reminder that your progress is real. 🧵(2/3)

Your growth will not be comfortable for everyone. It may expose things others don’t want to see. But hold on to your spirit; keep going & surround yourself with positive voices. The people worth listening to are the ones who recognize your strength. 🧵(3/3)

Your team watches how you handle mistakes. If you own it, so will they. If you fix the process so the error doesn’t happen again, they’ll make adjustments in similar situations. If you're transparent & talk openly about what went wrong, they'll feel safe doing the same. 🧵(2/3)

Acknowledging that you aren’t perfect shows you’re human. That builds trust. So don’t hide your imperfections. Embrace them. Use them as opportunities for growth. That’s how you lead teams to success. 🧵(3/3)

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: failure is the price of entry for achieving something great. My mistakes all taught me what a smooth flights couldn't. Debriefs after bad sorties mattered most: good flights show what worked; bad ones show what didn’t & why. 🧵(1/3)

You learn more from failure than from success. The nature of failure is mastery because it offers precise input about how to move forward more effectively. It highlights the edges of your competency so you can see beyond what you think your limits are. 🧵(2/3)
