Is this real life rn
Well this is one of the most scary-fascinating threads I've seen in awhile...
It's really exhausting to find out you have #ADHD at 39, only to then quickly realize that you see #Neurodivergent traits in your kids and now you have to figure out how to help them AND yourself.
However, I'm SO grateful for my diagnosis. The chaotic inner world I've always known finally makes sense and it's greatly reduced all my chronic failure feels.
I'm also so happy to be able to help my kids feel understood and get them the help and tools they need.
My ENTIRE life I felt like something was wrong w/ me. That everyone else had life figured out and somehow it was my fault that I couldn't get my 💩 together. Nope, just #ADHD.
Giving my kids the gift of *not* experiencing that is so beyond worth ALL the exhaustion.
Twitter is such a great source of real-time information while simultaneously being the best place to learn to generally loathe THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE
Do you actually want to do that thing? Or do you actually just want the recognition another person got for doing that thing?
HUGE difference, and tricky to navigate for some of us (read: me).
I hate war. I am horrified to be watching this all play out in real time.
But what I'm most frustrated about is realizing how guilty the US is of similar "invasions" and how clueless, sheltered, and ignorant we really are about all of it. And yes, by "we," I mean me too.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but it's ok to be wrong sometimes. Failure is the necessary path to learning and growth.

hi, are you doomscrolling? Journalling for a few minutes can help you get anxious thoughts out of your head and clarify what you want to do next. You still deserve time to rest and recover.
