After a 5 MONTH BREAK, Doug returns to Queen’s Park with the lowest Premier approval rating in Canada. We’ve had it with Ford ripping us off: ⤵️

Parents: as you watch this, remember that minus the gun, your child is likely in class with a student who behaved like this or close to it. Ask your child questions about what goes on his class each day. Be gentle about it but you need to know who is in class with your child.

9/11 while the Twin Towers were still burning, thousands were dead or trapped under rubble, a nation stood frozen in horror; Donald Trump got on TV & bragged about his building now the tallest in Manhattan...
That's who he is. That's who he's always been

I want you to really think about this🤔
65 BILLION DOLLARS MISSING IN HEALTHCARE!!
Think of this while you wait in an emergency dept for days on end. For the more horrific stories of loved one driving from one community to the next, looking for emergency care #DougFordIsCorrupt
"Record education funding".
The Minister continues to repeat this claim, which fails to account for inflation.
I'm spending record amounts on gas and groceries.
Am I getting more gas? More groceries?
$6B+ missing from public education since @fordnation took office. #onted
Doug Ford has underfunded public education by roughly 6 billion dollars since taking office in 2018.
Old buildings, crowded classrooms, not enough supports, staff, or supplies. No surprise that parents are now seeking alternatives to a (deliberately) under pressure system.
Ontario public school enrolment is declining as parents look for alternatives. Read why families are leaving and how boards face financial strain. thestar.com/news/gta/a-toron…
So @PaulCalandra is giving Ontario schools only $64/child for the entire year, hasn’t made the Staples School Supplies portal available yet, and still doesn’t have a plan to help thousands and thousands of non-elementary homeroom teachers get supplies?
Failing grade.

Some Ontario students are back in class, but teachers can’t order classroom supplies yet.
The Ford government’s new online Staples portal, where teachers can spend $750, won’t be live until Tuesday.
And there appears to be some confusion about what materials schools will still provide, and what teachers will have to purchase themselves. New from me: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

Setting aside the Staples issue and all the flaws in the plan, I don't understand why this wasn't organized in time for teachers to have supplies *before* school starts.
This announcement was made on March 11th. Why set schools up to start without the supplies they need? #onted

To be clear: there is no actual physical “Staples gift card” so teachers can’t just go to the store and get the cheaper price using a gift card. Teachers are required to order through the #OntEd Ministry of Education Portal. What a waste of taxpayer money.

Our taxpayer dollars are being spent at an American company (in the middle of a trade war) that offers better deals to folks walking in off the street than to teachers ordering through the Ontario Ministry of Education portal. Make it make sense!!! #OntEd
Premier @fordnation is funnelling $60,000,000 to Staples, a US company, slashing school budgets, and denying funds to thousands of Ontario teachers.
This #FoneFordFriday, ask the Premier
to fund our schools and support our teachers and education workers!

Ford converted OSAP grants to loans for Ontario students because the program was “unsustainable”.
Turns out private career colleges diverted almost $1billion into their pockets last year—more than public colleges and universities combined.
Ford is punishing all Ontario students with crushing debt levels because of a scam run by private career colleges.

What's the debate? @fordnation and @paulcalandra have chosen to funnel $60,000,000 in Ontario taxpayer dollars to an American company and prevent Ontario teachers from purchasing supplies at the vendor of their choice. #onted #CutsHurtKids #onpoli

BREAKING: Self-described "Big Republican" Premier Doug Ford -- who has been an avid Trump Supporter in multiple U.S. elections -- is pulling ahead in Ontario's latest polling.
Trump-clone Ford is getting credit for his "elbow's up" approach to dealing w/ Trump. 🤦🏻🥴

Then explain this: your government just made American-owned Staples the exclusive vendor for every teacher's $750 classroom supply card, so not one of those dollars can go to a Canadian business. Buy Ontario means cancel the Staples deal. It's common sense.

You must be kidding!
$750 for classroom supplies FOR THE YEAR : only for classroom teachers, only for elementary.
An avg (23 students) $32.50 per student!
All going to an 🇺🇸 store!
Parents know where the money came from @PaulCalandra - they aren’t stupid. #onted #onpoli
For decades, teachers have spent their own money, and parents have been asked to pitch in, to help purchase materials for classrooms.
Our government is changing that.
Starting this September, every eligible elementary teacher will have direct access to $750 for classroom purchases.
And that’s on top of the classroom supplies funding school boards continue to receive, about $32,000 a year for a typical 500-student elementary school.
The bottom line: we’re putting more resources directly into the hands of teachers, so they have what they need to support students in the classroom.

Why is every dollar of Ontario's new classroom supply fund locked into an American-owned chain, in the middle of a trade war, when Canadian retailers are right there?
The Premier must cancel the Staples deal today. And then he must recall the legislature so we can pass emergency tariff relief now.
Trump is coming for Ontario jobs and Doug Ford just handed him our classroom supply money. Every teacher's $750, locked into an American-owned chain, every single year, while Canadian businesses get shut out. Enough. Tell Ford: CANCEL THE STAPLES DEAL.

Doug Ford has never had a budget surplus ever. Now Ontario is $500 billion in debt and that’s growing quickly. Many times bigger than the Liberals.
Ford used to complain about TTC being late and over budget but turns out he is 10x worse.
Doug Ford promised the Ontario Line would cost $10.9 billion and open in 2027.
Now? Roughly $34 billion and years behind schedule.
And it’s not just one project. The Eglinton Crosstown and Scarborough Subway Extension have also seen billions in overruns and years of delays.
Ontarians keep paying more and waiting longer. They deserve to know where their money is going - and why they keep getting less for it. #onpoli
