So. A songwriters’ camp happened in Joburg’s north suburbs, right? Right! @sonymusicpubsouthernafrica opened up the iconic jazzworx studios for voices & hands to come in and create freely & collaborate passionately on what would undoubtedly become the future sounds of African music. They called it SOUNDSCAPE, as they should 🤏🏾 … 4 or 5 studios in one week in one united mission, to showcase what we got going on! @shishiliza44 told me about this youngin @souljam_sa who’s got a beeg wave going in the dance scene; led by the drums(as I often am)we started to record what would be Ama WAZA WAZA🤷🏾‍♀️! @moonchildsanelly walked in and said “WOZA”🗣️ as she does ke sana. And the drama began! 🫰🏾😂🎶💃🏾 @zoemodiga walked in & told me she often ponders when is the right time to show people her different sides and ofcourse I was like, “if not now, then when?”, YASUKA! A blessed melody was laidttt like edges hunny! 🤌🏾 (And in light of recent events I gotta say, she APPROVES of this release 🤗💞) @thobeka_td is a Gqom queen from Durban and she was oh so pleased to give her voice to the outro in what she called, “a dream come true”… walked in the stu with @realquedj and @spacepose , ohhh they were the final nail on the cross coz they knew it need that sauce that the streets likes, and they had THAT! YEYiii! Kanjalo ke kwenzeka le ngoma Zi Chomzam 🤗 and I’m very proud to say, as I do in my verse, “Chom’zam zii Main Character zonke!”🎶💞 Everyone’s been asking me how I thought of bringing these particular superstars together and I can confirm that they actually brought themselves, OK?!
