👋 David Raya reveals why he left Blackburn: 🗣 "Decision going to Brentford was my relationship with the boss at Blackburn. It kind of broke in a bit. Like it wasn't the same and I think I needed another challenge. Like I said before, coming from the academy and playing for the first team, it fills you up. Then you have the downsides, where you feel you're not appreciated in a way. So I had to opportunity where Brentford wanted me to go Inyaki, my goalie coach from Arsenal. Same as John Keeley, he saw something in me when we played Brentford." #BRFC | #Rovers | #BrentfordFC

David Raya on how the game red arse got him his Blackburn debut: 🗣 "We had Leeds on the Saturday, and then Liverpool on Tuesday in the FA Cup, which I was cup tied. So on the Friday, Simon Eastwood gets red arsed and he tweaks his knee from the red arse. We were playing two touch with the goalie coach and the keepers. If you lose three games of two touch you get red arsed. Nowadays you cannot do that. Andy Fisher the 21s goalkeeper hits the ball and he hits Simon's knee so he tweaks his knee a little bit, so Simon doesn't travel to Leeds. The goalie coach and the gaffer called me in the morning after we travelled, do you want to play? I went yes. The reason was, if something happened to Steele and Simon wasn't ready vs Liverpool then we had no keepers. So that got me my debut." #BRFC | #Rovers
