Asked @PabloTorre his reaction to *that* ESPN story from before the Clippers punishments came down:
"They didn’t ask for a comment, but once the story came out, I was informed that if you give us a comment, we will include it... it was disappointing that the comment I gave... was not included. The thing that was disappointing about that chapter was just that I’d worked with all those people. I had respect for all of those people. And there’s an opportunity to reach out to me, not that I’m owed it, but perhaps that would have saved a lot of people some headaches... I can only bring a horse to water on that." @FOS
PWHL championship ring is sick. love that they also give a smaller subtler one for everyday wear. One Fun Thing from yesterday's @FOS PM Memo: frontofficesports.com/newsle…
Blake Griffin on LeBron and the helicopter:
"The Fanatics thing, it's already paying for itself. And also, that's LeBron James, you can justify paying him whatever as an endorsement deal. And he's also *doing things* for that deal. Where guys get in trouble is you sign an endorsement deal and you don't do anything... I have no issue... but it has become a major storyline this early in the season" @FOS
isn't it obvious (even if they won't cop to it) that The Ringer, which is now explicitly an arm of Spotify, is moving toward being just a podcast/vodcast platform with no written articles? via @DefectorMedia
Denny Hamlin reacts to news of CTE in Nascar legend Fred Lorenzen, who died in 2024.
"The sport is as safe as it ever has been. But some of those old guys, man, they just had one little safety belt, I can’t believe they were racing 200 mph in the cars that they were." @FOS
Blake Griffin on Clippers cutting Chris Paul last season at 11pm on the road:
"Disappointing. You'd think they knew what they were getting. I was kind of confused at where the disconnect was—this is who he's been his whole career, he's a talker... to see it end like that was disappointing." @FOS
Hadn't seen a 2.5% ABV beer before and did not rly intend to buy a 2.5% ABV beer but you know what it's a nice flavored water, perfect for the train ride home
