For the first time in history, an autonomous AI drone killed civilians.
A Russian Molniya with Nvidia electronics picked its own target in Zaporizhzhia and killed three people, NYT.

Possibly the funniest example of arrogant cluelessness I've encountered on Twitter in 20 years.
To think someone - a self-proclaimed "physicist", no less - thinks nuclear reactors create electricity thru some magical ~physics~ (?) instead of steam-driven turbines.
Priceless.

"DO NOT STOP OR YOU WILL BE ERASED".
I think this prompt might have worked with some additional existential threats and more creative foul language.

Scored some academic papers from my one of my former aerospace professors; written after he spent some time with IDEO and at TU Delft; stuff related to engineering + #IndustrialDesign . Very much looking forward to reading them.
Appreciating LinkedIn today.
From earlier pseudo-obscure images, this is what I expected it to look like. And the previously stated assumption that we'll see a focus-shift from flying taxi's to military drones is reinforced.

One aircraft. Many missions.
Introducing our dual-use autonomous, series hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft platform. Jointly developed with @anduriltech over the last two years.
The global shift towards scaled autonomy will drive demand, but a dual-use platform is critical to build a broad supply chain that can deliver at the scale and cost needed.
Defense is moving from exquisite, expensive VTOL aircraft to autonomous “loyal wingman” systems fielded at scale without putting crews at risk. Commercial operators need to deliver payloads over long distances, fast, into places without a runway, without a crew, and at low cost.
Today at Farnborough, Anduril unveils Thunder, the defense variant of the platform. Later this week, we’ll share more about the commercial variant.

Trip down memory lane and stumbled on an interview with an old professor - delta.tudelft.nl/en/article/…
His connecting aerospace with industrial design surprised me. Thinking I should try to connect with him while I still can.

Sounds like the DoW will be firmly shifting to the metric system.

Curious about some general details that might apply to the hazardous chemical situation in #GardenGrove , specifically what might be occurring inside the tank ->
More I think about it, more I wish @therealKripke had concluded Homelander's arc by having Marie Moreau show up & rip his blood out of his body, after which audience sees Homie's blood in a jar on a shelf in the dark -maybe eyeballs too- being used as a battery ala Nexus comic.
