People want you to think that everything is always about left vs right. It’s not. It’s about insiders vs outsiders. “What the insiders fear is not the end of democracy, but the end of their control over it...” -@DavidSacks

The path of a maturing thinker. In order to get to Grown-Up Mountain and start real learning, you have to brave the cold winds of Insecure Canyon. If you're not willing to say "I don't know" for a while, you might spend your whole life on Child’s Hill.

Tesla history trivia: we didn’t actually come up with the Tesla Motors name. Bought trademark off Brad Siewert for $75k in late 2004. He’d originally filed for it in 1994. Our alternative name was Faraday, which was used by a competitor several years later.
What's in a name? For Tesla, $75,000. Elon Musk says he had to buy his company's name—and tells Lesley Stahl how he pronounces "Tesla." cbsn.ws/2RIK0Ci

"Product-market-fit" is a very dangerous idea. Because if your product fits in a category design by someone else, your dead. Pepsi never catches Coke. Bing never catches Google. The real question is can you design a category that you can dominate. @rvobrien
