Before the Pirates drafted Brandon Cain, he threw less than one inning at Oklahoma.
Despite the lack of innings, Pittsburgh still took him and now he is turning into a solid prospect.
I got to talk to Cain about his development and more. Check it out ⬇️

Here’s an example of a HS player perfecting the leg kick “hang” like Munetaka Murakami
None other than WF legend ‘28 SS/RHP/CF @maddenpike223 16U Blue Jays
If u have a leg kick and issues w/ timing - being late on FB’s or difficulty slowing down on breaking balls
Learn to “hang” the leg kick like Munetaka Murakami (12 HR in 2026)
•Getting into the hang b4 pitch release (not too early to stagnate, but early enough for slight pause
•Simplifies hitter’s tasks after pitch release
•Allows hitter to adjust pace of fwd move based on pitch type
•Easier to see ⚾️ out of hand (pitch recognition, angle+trajectory, movement) due to still head quiet body

COACHES: Coaching today's generation of kids is about relationships and connecting with them. Players will still "run through walls" for you if they know, like, or trust you. It's not enough that you care about them. They have to know that you care about them.

Steve Sarkisian shares a must-listen on culture:
"Culture is organic. It is not a sign up in your building, it's not a T-shirt you wear."
"Culture beats talent if your culture is really strong. Culture and talent together is a pretty powerful force."
