Today is Sisters in Spirit Day / National Day of Action for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, 2S & LGBTQIA+ in Canada
There are over 4,000 recorded missing Indig women, girls, 2S & LGBTQIA+ in Canada, & Indig women have murder rates >6x higher than non-Indigenous women
If anyone is able to donate, the Native Women Association of Canada is a great non-profit that provides support for domestic abuse victims, addiction recovery, mental health, and much more, for Indigenous women & 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. 🙏🏼♥️

Today is Sisters in Spirit Day, the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation honours missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse people.
We stand alongside families, survivors and communities who continue to seek answers, justice and healing. We honour their loved ones’ lives and stories and recognize the strength of those who advocate for them.
Remembrance must be accompanied by action. Listening to families, supporting Indigenous-led efforts to end violence, and demanding accountability are responsibilities we all share. Every Indigenous woman, girl, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse person deserves to live in safety and dignity.

It's safe to assume they've done that before. This story shouldn't be allowed to die down. Everyone involved needs to be investigated and jailed for good. So many predators are birth through these organizations & are allowed to thrive. It's disgusting.
