I have a whole message thread for 2026 of @SouthwestAir telling me their flights are delayed. I’d go into the @SouthwestAir app to see how delayed… except the @SouthwestAir app isn’t working. Herb wouldn’t stand for this.

STOP THROWING THAT STUPID FADE!!!!! I have a great playbook from my 10 year olds. I think ND needs it.

Should be excited about a CFB Top 25, in-conference matchup. But watching NIL poster children Dillan Raiola and Nico Iamaleava throw interceptions back and forth highlights why we need to change pay-to-play system and get some actual coaching/development. These guys look BAD.

One more thing about this team before I hopefully forget everything about this season: In a must win game, the starter was Michael Soroka and the lead off man was Lars Nootbar. We need help.

This was the most frustrating season I’ve watched as a fan of this team. And it’s not even close. As one of my friends said: “At least Ketel will have his days off now.” See you all in 2028, after the strike.

Did Sam Leavitt just hurt the same foot/toe as last year? Is this backup showing that he should play more? Yikes. Long week of convo ahead….

Let’s make sure families in AZ don’t become homeless when they hit a bump in their journey. When @SVdP helps, 92% of families supported are still stable, in home 1 YEAR LATER. Best program!!! Everything helps my effort in our 1st Charity Golf-a-Thon. donate.stvincentdepaul.net/p…

What’s the best swag item, auction item, or prize you’ve ever seen at a #golf tournament?

Arch, guy who actually made it happen, gives a thoughtful and energetic interview. Sark, guy who tried to call a terrible game and lose, barks nonsense at a camera and walks away from Holly Rowe, before she even gets a question out. People constantly show you.

Set Arch free. Go no huddle. Line audibles like Uncle 18. Stop the terrible and safe play calling.

Through 3 quarters the score is: 8 penalties for the road team, ASU. 0 penalties for the home team, A&M. In 2025, A&M was one of the most penalized teams in the nation. 🤔

Couldn’t draw up a worse first offensive series for ND. I know Akron let their fan draw up the first series. Didn’t know the Irish did it too. Geesh.

I’m so glad to no longer be in the conference disappointed by Oregon every year.

You just had pancakes for breakfast. Your best friend is coming over to watch college football. There’s no school on Monday. Your parents don’t care how late you stay up. A perfect Labor Day weekend. You’re 41. It’s 2026.

"Caring deeply is the cost of admission for a big and textured life." -@BStulberg
Caring is cool. Nonchalance is a cop out. You don’t get unlimited chances. Get over your fear of failure. Pour your heart and soul into what you do. Try hard. Give a damn. Roger Federer was just inducted into the tennis hall of fame. He embodies a central idea in The Way of Excellence and one that I think is super important right now so I am just going to share more or less directly from the book here: When you hold yourself back because you fear failure or looking ‘uncool,’ you sacrifice growth and potential (and mastery and fulfillment and richness and love and all the other good stuff in life) for short-term safety and comfort. It’s a trap. Get over it. “In the 1,526 singles matches I played in my career, I won almost 80% of those matches... Now, I have a question for all of you... what percentage of the POINTS do you think I won in those matches? Only 54%. When you’re playing a point, it has to be the most important thing in the world. But when it’s behind you, it’s behind you,” says Federer. He also says that effortless is a myth. “I didn’t get where I got on pure talent alone. I got there by trying to outwork my opponents. Discipline is also a talent, and so is patience.” The world doesn’t need more mediocrity or going through the motions. The world needs more people putting themselves out there and giving it their all. The world needs more people who have the guts to care. The best athletes care deeply. The best artists care deeply. The best leaders care deeply. The best coaches care deeply. The best teachers care deeply. The best doctors care deeply. The best writers care deeply. The best scientists care deeply. The best parents care deeply. Caring deeply is the cost of admission to a big and textured life. It’s easier than ever to sit on the sidelines. To think about the thing. Research the thing. Listen to podcasts about the thing. Talk about the thing. But these are all ways of protecting yourself from actually doing the thing. Only doing the thing is doing the thing. Fear, doubt, and insecurity are all part of human nature. You can either go through the motions and be superficially cool (but actually boring). Or you can step into the arena, lay it on the line, care deeply, make yourself vulnerable, and fully live your one and only life. Try hard and give a damn.
