More violence, and more massacres of entire Christian villages and communities. Islamists in Nigeria charge through a Christian village on motorbikes with AK47s firing on and murdering Christian villagers. This is a daily occurrence, and yet western media remains silent. Men, women and children are slaughtered, women and children raped and kidnapped, men beheaded. Entire villages wiped out in minutes. Remind me what occupation they’re fighting against? This is ethnic cleansing and pure hatred against non Muslims. This is what actual genocide looks like.

Perhaps there are reasons of style policy involved, but reading New York Times coverage of Dr. El-Sayed, and remembering Times 2016 coverage of renowned brain surgeon Ben Carson makes you wonder: Did Carson ever get an MD?

Today is the most important day to clearly state that the “Israeli genocide” lie is both a deliberate, appalling, ahistorical, anti-factual smear — and also textbook antisemitism. Let me explain The Hamas-run “Gaza health ministry’s” own data debunks this lie. Of the ~73,000 deaths in Gaza since the onset of the war, which was started by Hamas in a shockingly vicious terrorist attack, launched with genuinely genocidal intent, tens of thousands have been combatants/military aged men. This strikingly low combatant-to-civilian ratio is an achievement by Israel, which took pains to warn civilians to get out of the way of bombs in advance, paused fighting to inoculate Gazan children, and sent gargantuan shipments of food and other aid into the territory during the war. These are not the actions of a genocidal force. They are the opposite. This achievement is particularly laudable given the enemy’s evil policy of launching terrorist operations from civilian neighborhoods, schools, mosques and hospitals. Hamas puts its own civilians in grave danger, on purpose, as a strategy. And it’s fairly successful because they know — despite the slanderous talking point pioneered by their stooges around the world (even starting while the Jews were still counting their dead) — that Israel is NOT willing to purposefully commit mass atrocities, let alone genocide. That word, “genocide,” has been utterly abused and obliterated of meaning, as a propaganda weapon against Israel. It does not apply to this conflict, certainly not to the Israeli side. But accuracy isn’t the point. Inaccuracy is the point. The word is wielded as a justification for every despicable act of the sick “pro Palestine” movement (which almost entirely ignores the brutal mistreatment of Palestinians by Hamas; a tell). Every time a Jew is spat on, a synagogue protested or attacked, a hostage poster ripped down, a Hebrew-speaking person berated, a soccer team shunned, an event disrupted, a Hanukkah celebration shot up, etc. it’s excused or rationalized or minimized by the “genocide” lie. It’s an anti-moral permission slip, and it’s been revealing who’s taken full advantage of it. They’re almost always people who can’t even feign concern about far worse treatment of various populations around the world. Including Muslim ones. Which brings us to the antisemitism, which is undeniable and obvious to so many of us. But because countless, gross 10/7 statements issued by terror sympathizers, cowards, and ignoramuses insist on repeating the “genocide” lie, while also insisting it’s not about Jews (but rather “Zionists,” the other side of the anti-moral permission slip coin), it must be spelled out: One of the core, black-and-white definitions of antisemitism is the erection of double standards exclusively against Jews (and yes, this includes the one tiny Jewish state—the only country in the world over which there’s a constant and loud debate over the legitimacy of its very existence…even though it’s been firmly established for many decades & was enshrined in international law, for those who at least pretend to care about such things). Lying about “genocide” and applying a novel/changed/invented quasi-definition of it (“look at these buildings!”) *only* to the Jewish state, for the purpose of demonizing/isolating/delegitimizing the Jewish state is straight-up antisemitism. On top of being a lie—things that so often go hand in hand. Reject the lies and reject bigotry. Or at a minimum, have the decency to stop flattering yourself as a good, brave person who’s on the “right side of history.” You’re actually on the wrong side of history, a modern-day heir of dark and ancient rituals of ugliness, scapegoating and deceit.

Her name was Eddimar Paola Hernández Chacón. She was 7 years old when she was murdered on the streets of Chicago. Saturday, police say a stranger stabbed her to death on a Chicago sidewalk while she was out with her sister paying a phone bill. The woman in custody wasn't some unknown: * Nov. 2024: Pleaded guilty to aggravated battery of a CTA bus driver. Probation. * Feb. 2025: Open felony warrant] for skipping a probation hearing. * July 2025: Stood in a Chicago courtroom on another battery case. Walked out. * Now: Warrant still active the day of the attack, per CWB Chicago. A bystander finally stopped her. The system never did. Chicago police still haven't released her name or announced charges. Eddimar's mother: "Don't let my daughter's death go unanswered."

Clearly the only possible course of action was to decolonise Nelson Mandela High School by burning it down

I watched this entire case in real time. Oberlin College is a total mess. A few years earlier, a student reported seeing a Klansman on campus. Within a couple of hours, campus security confirmed it was a student wrapped in a bed duvet on a cold day. Instead of dismissing the incident, the school launched a months-long campaign alleging white supremacists were loose on campus, and black students were at risk.
Oberlin College spent 6 years and $36 million arguing that catching a thief is racism. 3 students pled guilty to stealing from Gibson’s Bakery in 2016. The dean handed out flyers calling the 1885 family bakery a racist shop with a long record of racial profiling, after which the college cut its contracts and condemned it. The Gibsons sued. While Oberlin called the flyers “student speech,” the jury disagreed, awarded $44 million, Ohio cut it to $36.5 million, and the school paid after losing its appeals in 2022. The patriarch died before the verdict. A billion dollar college treated a neighborhood bakery as a political enemy for enforcing the law.

I have written eleven opinion pieces for The New York Times across 35 years. I still read it. I write what follows with no joy: while I have watched it become increasingly partisan in its news coverage over the decades, no topic has made its loss of balance clearer to me than its handling of Israel since October 7. This week the Times published a sentence suggesting that Israeli victimhood over the 2023 Hamas terror attack was not a fact, but a "matter of perception." It only added an Editors' Note after furious backlash, much of it here on X. I have written corrections myself. A sentence like that doesn't slip past a reporter, an editor, and a copy desk by accident. The underlying problem is that it did not set off an alarm until readers outside the building made noise. And that was simply the latest example. In May, the paper's Opinion section ran a column alleging Israeli forces used dogs to rape Palestinian detainees, built on sourcing no other serious outlet had corroborated. The Times's own executive editor later said the newsroom "wouldn't have done that exact piece." Now there's data behind the pattern. A peer-reviewed Yale study of 1,559 Times articles on the war found the word "Israel" appeared more than three times as often as "Hamas," and that 1,423 of those articles mentioned neither Israeli casualties after Oct. 7 nor Hamas combatants killed in the war. "Paper of record" was never a hereditary title. It was a claim about earned trust. I am not sure anyone still believes it. My full article at Just the Facts: justthefacts.media/p/the-pap…

Perhaps we can make this photo go viral again. This is Officer Chris Amoroso of the NYNJ Port Authority Police. This photo is from September 11, 2001, with the towers behind him. After saving this pregnant woman Chris decided to go back in for his 5th time. Despite having a wife and baby at home, despite being only 29 years old, Chris and 59 other Police Officers and 343 Firefighters never made it back out. You can curse us out, spit, defund and disrespect us, but when you call we will be there. Thats what makes us different. Im not looking for responses especially political ones. Just remember Chris and share his story. No sports number on his chest, no large contract no anthem to kneel to, just a real hero. #NeverForget

Zohran Mamdani’s father literally wrote a book justifying suicide bombers and terrorism. It still feels hard to believe that the city that experienced 9/11, the biggest Islamic terrorist attack in history, has a mayor who was raised with these ideas.

We live in an interesting country where verified suicides are reported as lynchings and a guy getting beheaded in a public park is not reported at all.
ROUND ROCK MAN walks up behind a 62-year-old stranger sitting near a park bench on a Monday morning, wraps an arm around him, and stabs him repeatedly in the neck. Andrew James Wimsatt tried to fight back, but surveillance video shows he couldn't. A passerby found his body near the Chandler Creek Trail. 26-year-old Benedict Ogbodiegwu Jr. was arrested before at least three times. His record: 2017: charged with theft, a state jail felony. Dismissed. Jan 2026: arrested for theft. Court ordered a competency evaluation, then committed him for restoration in February. The competency hearing set for May 29 was canceled. The theft charge was dismissed April 7. May 2026: arrested again, this time for giving police false identification. Dismissed. Three cases, three dismissals. Now first-degree murder.

Stu has been doing God’s work this week at Socialism 2026. Nonstop bangers.
🚨 Socialism 2026 Requires Masking and Explains Its “Non-Carceral” Approach to Checking Badges Socialism 2026 is still requiring masks as part of what Sean Larson, Haymarket Books’ political education coordinator and a conference organizer, calls a “compassionate and collective approach” to keeping attendees from contracting COVID and other illnesses. And yes, before anyone sees the masks and assumes this is old footage, I assure you this is 2026. Larson then warns attendees that being asked to show a conference badge at the door may feel “a little bit jarring.” But fear not. The badge checkers have been ideologically processed. They are part of a “community safety” plan necessary for holding “a large left-wing conference without relying on carceral means.” Even “hey, did you actually pay to be here?” has to pass through an ideological filter.
