We got to see the #NashvilleOpera rehearsal for next week's #Tosca. Steven Aiken, who plays Sacristan, is giving us great background here. John Hoomes, CEO & Artistic Director, also spent a lot of time with us. Fantastic perk for season ticket holders!

Take about 5 minutes to chill with this. "That Day" is a mellow jazz melody that put me in reflective mood. See if you agree. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

Just realized I never said anything about my second collection of (my) favorite hymns. Volume 2 includes How Great Thou Art, Great is Thy Faithfulness, Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling, and seven more you'll know quite well. Perfect for your quiet time. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

I was working on the heritage folk song "The Last Rose of Summer" when this melody started to reveal itself to me. I didn't realize something unusual in its meter until I started to record it. I bet no one notices... distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

I published another original jazz tune to the streaming services this week. The title is a nod to Desafinado, however the tune itself is a skewed nod to the classic jazz "rhythm" changes. (For my non-jazz playing friends, that's the chord structure under "I've Got Rhytym"; for years, jazz composers have put different melodies on top of the "rhythm" chords.) distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

I enjoyed researching melodies for this collection more than anything musical I’ve done in a long time. They are old, but never get old. You’ll recognize some, other classics will be new to you. Take a listen. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

As I recorded some old British Isles folk melodies, I was suddenly inspired to create a little melody I wanted to give to my new grandchildren, Violet and August. And this is that melody. (Links to all major streaming services are on this page.) distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

I always go back to the blues for inspiration, although some listeners might not make that immediate connection. See if you do in this piano-bass duet. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

Another one for my original jazz album. (Take and listen and I think you'll agree with me that I was born 50 years too late -- this would have made a great Big Band tune.) distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

Another of my original jazz tunes. It blends some interesting instrumentation and chord changes. Links to all the major streaming services. Check it out. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

I’m beginning to put some of my original jazz on the streaming services. Here’s the first release (Eider Way) with links to all the major online sites. (When I wrote this I was using crossword puzzle words in my titles…) distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…

Disabled at 32, Charlotte Elliott struggled with loneliness and depression (sound like today?) when she remembered the words of a minister: Come to Christ, just as you are, inspiring the words of this classic hymn. Click below for the devotional hymn and meditate on the message. #christianmusic #hymns #hymndevotions #christiandevotions #jesusmusic buff.ly/GecnVtF

Before you could “favorite” things on social media, I remember so many for whom “In the Garden” was a favorite on Sunday mornings. My recording just started to hit the streaming services today. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ra…
