all year, cure fans everywhere, having traced the letters with fingers and mind, intuitively heed the liner-notes call: “this music has been mixed to be played loud/so turn it up.”
BUT today demands special attention, so let's commit to play it LOUD. happy 35, disintegration!

a very happy 65th birthday to my favourite artist of all time! your musical and lyrical genius has carried me through the better part of my life, and i send all my love and gratitude your way today, as i do every day.
wishing you the most magnificent moonlit night ahead...

happy 35th to the perennially thrilling “fascination street”! can’t wait to let it coax me along the dance floor this weekend!
“and i’m begging/to drag you down with me/to kick the last nail in…yeah! i like you in that….”
got an $89 parking ticket yesterday and was mad all evening. today i awoke to fly to atl to close out the last 3 cure shows of the na tour and thought at least it’s 89, the year of disintegration.
this is all to say, i CAN’T WAIT to see my band. “once more is never the end…”
hmm, it’s probably a bad sign when you’re penning copy and you write “symptoms” instead of “systems.” in theory, i’m consoling myself by thinking that at least i’m alert enough to catch the typo, but in reality, it just makes me wonder what i’m missing.
100%! i love them more with every passing minute. their thoughtfulness across the board is so uplifting.
I didn't think it was possible for me to love @thecure more than I do. Then I heard about what they did before their LA shows. It is possible after all.

it's no secret that i detest ticketmaster, but when they send me emails with the subject line "You Got Tickets To The Cure," my heart can't help but flutter every which way.
dancing through (and devouring!) the cure’s discog on my first cure tour weekend of the year! the countdown to tonight is on!!!

happy 10 years to this marvelously impetuous thing!
i so wanted to pen your praises, but i will come back and celebrate you all the more when you turn 15. i know my love will only grow more impassioned with time. “just let me hear your voice / just let me listen…”

“down we go on the grass / magnets make machines go crazy / i used to know you well / you give me such a future feeling / we’re in the middle of some kind of cosmic rearrangement….” god, when the national get it right, i can hardly contain myself! youtu.be/Bbq7WAF9V8U
I’m going to The National @ Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. songkick.com/concerts/411127…
