Whilst not a fan boy advocate of Open Banking, if ever there was a use case, @Crowdcube is one. Somebody please sell them A2A capabilities please. They'd save money. A lot I suspect

Apple Airpods maintaining the tradition of zero innovation from Apple , copying features from Google who, let's face it, have better AI capabilities than Apple right now. Instant translation...so last month.

Free speech is, I'm told, a fundamental right here in the UK. But In 2023 alone, the police made 12,183 arrests under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 and Section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1988.

So do we have freedom of speech? Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 and section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1988 The acts make it illegal to cause distress by sending “grossly offensive” messages or sharing content of an “indecent, obscene or menacing character”

on an electronic communications network. Anyone can take offence, whether it was given or not. What you may find offensive, I might find meaningless and inoffensive. So... do we have freedom of speech? Feels less and less that we do.

Intriguing
Replying to @rayleee
Based on your posts and interactions, you're a payments tech enthusiast ( ) critical of innovations like Apple's, local Reading council roadworks, and corporate practices (e.g., Ryanair fines). You engage on privacy, consumer rights, and news like VPN laws or BNPL oversight. Bio suggests a love for chilli and fine rums—sounds like a spicy, spirited mix!

From what I can see, there is no actual diversion route planned!
Replying to @ReadingCouncil
@ReadingCouncil Is it possible to see the planned diversions for when you close Oxford Road next week? It would have been useful if you could have published that at same time as you sent out the notification of closure.

Anyone else getting a load of old news from The Paypers? They seem to have upgraded to a new website and articles from several years ago being pushed out to web services and sent to various subscribers such as Google News.

Good to see Apples continuing lack of any real innovation at last nights WWDC. Maybe we've just run out of ideas for mobile but if they best they can come up with is transparent buttons and notifications then we have seemingly reached peak mobile.

"Silicon Valley's surveillance model, likened to totalitarian regimes, exploits user data, hinting at a need for stringent privacy reforms." - Yet all we see is our government rolling over to please the likes of Altman, Zuckerberg, Bezos etc.
