MultiversX is back.
After a serious network incident, the chain has resumed activity.
We stand with the MultiversX team and the engineers who worked through it.
And honestly, we think there is something important to take away from what just happened.
A public blockchain is not immune to failure.
But when critical infrastructure fails on-chain, you can see it.
The state is public.
The transactions are public.
The history is public.
Everyone can inspect the same underlying data and work towards understanding what happened.
Now compare that with most of the financial infrastructure being built today.
Centralized databases.
Private ledgers.
Closed systems.
When something goes wrong there, the outside world ultimately has to trust the operator to explain what happened.
That's the part that concerns us.
Not because centralized systems cannot work.
But because independent verification should not be optional when you are building financial infrastructure.
This is exactly why VeroPay is 100% on-chain.
Not because we believe blockchain is perfect.
Because we believe the alternative putting the entire financial state behind a private system and simply trusting the operator is a much bigger problem.
The MultiversX incident was a reminder that on-chain infrastructure still has to earn trust.
But at least the work happens in public.
And that's a future we still believe in.

I post from time to time an open letter to the @MultiversX team. Hereās another one before the big day.
Iām just the same person whoās been here since Elrond, before the rebrand, before half the timeline decided the story was over. You already know that part. Iāve said it before.
Tomorrow is September 10. Supernova.
Thereās going to be that ~24 minute window. Drain the old work. Hold the new txs. Then the clock changes. If your EGLD is in your own wallet you donāt do anything. I keep repeating that to people because everybody still thinks a hard fork means packing bags. It doesnāt. Not this one.
Iām not going to pretend the last years were easy to sit through. They werenāt. Delays. Quiet charts. People leaving in that polite way people leave. I had the same nights as everyone else. The difference is I never moved the original belief. I didnāt come here for a narrative season. I came here because I know, this is the future. Simple as that.
Andromeda took confirmation blocks out of the way. Supernova takes execution off the critical path. Thatās the same bet, just finally allowed to run at the speed it was supposed to.
99.64% voted this through. Battle of Nodes already tried to break it. A billion transactions. Devnet already running the new heartbeat. So tomorrow is not a surprise party. Itās the mainnet version of work thatās been in public for a while.
I will believe in this the same way I believed at the beginning. Not louder. Not cleaner. Same way. I believed when it was still called Elrond and most people werenāt watching. I believed when the name changed and a lot of people used that as an exit. Iāll believe when a same-shard transfer stops feeling like a small ceremony. Thatās it. Thatās the whole standard.
To the team: thank you for not taking the cheap version of speed. Thank you for keeping validator hardware in the realm of normal machines. Thank you for putting this through governance instead of just shipping a story. I know Iām one voice in a long line of voices. I also know I didnāt go anywhere.

Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.

As a founder, you have to be almost foolish.
Naively bullish. Irrational about the future.
Because if you werenāt, youād never start.

No sane person looks at the odds and says yes.
Most of this fails. Most of the path is painful. You donāt know how long it is, only that itās longer than you think. And it gets harder after the first big win, not easier. Now you know exactly what the next climb costs.
So you have to believe past the evidence. You have to be a little foolish.

I read the comments. The real ones.
The pain is real. The losses are real. Iām not going to argue with someoneās red portfolio or explain it away with terminology. Thatās not respect.
Some of you loved the vision, bought conviction, averaged down, and watched it go blurry. I see that. I carry it.

Itās not for dodging hard questions. Itās the only thing that makes a person stay when leaving is the rational move.
You donāt get the rare win without being willing to look stupid for years. Thereās no version where you skip the painful part and keep the upside.

Decouple, minimizing correlation, standing on our own terms
For most of its history, this market has moved as one body. When Bitcoin rose, everything rose with it. When Bitcoin fell, even the strongest networks fell too, regardless of what their teams had built, shipped, or proven. That gravitational pull made it easy to forget a simple truth: not all crypto is the same, and not all of it should be priced as though it were.
The last six to twelve months brought the cost of that into focus. Growth stalled. Headwinds settled across the ecosystems. And too often, the value of real work was decided by forces no builder could influence. We do not believe that is the future MultiversX is building toward, and we are no longer willing to leave EGLD's story to be written by Bitcoin.
As we approach the Supernova genesis moment, we are taking deliberate steps to decouple EGLD from its direct correlation to BTC. We are clear-eyed about what this means: no team commands a market by decree. What we can do, and what we intend to do, is build, communicate, and position EGLD so that it is judged on its own terms, not on what Bitcoin happens to be doing on any given day. This means taking steps to delist some EGLD/BTC direct pairs, and give more proactive signal space to EGLD itself.
We believe EGLD's value belongs where its contribution is greatest: in the throughput, the finality, the adoption, and the real-world utility of the network itself. Those are the things we control. Those are the things we are pouring ourselves into. And those are the things that, over time, earn an asset the right to stand on its own.
Supernova is more than a launch. It is the moment we stop being treated as a passenger in someone else's story, and begin being weighted on our own merits. We are choosing decoupling, independence because we believe it is where MultiversX and EGLD have always belonged. To Supernova, and beyond.
