She made it! She couldn’t get a visa to Spain, but this warrior is now with us in Poland.
She survived an acid attack in Afghanistan. I invited her to join me and the brave Iranian women who were blinded by the Islamic Republic.
We will stand together on stage to send a clear message:
If the Taliban and the Islamic Republic are united in their war against women, then the women of Afghanistan and Iran are united in our fight for freedom.

Obama also criticized Hamas: "What they did on October 7, you could not have designed something that was less likely to produce meaningful change."
This is a strange way to talk about the massacre, rape, and kidnapping of innocents.
October 7th was not a failed strategy to produce peace. It accomplished Hamas's goal: murdering Jews.
I am liberal. That is what makes it so disturbing to see leaders from the Democratic Party spread false narratives that harm Jews.

Hi @ICRC. Good point you make here. Did you ever try telling this to Hamas, who systematically starved Israeli hostages, like Evytar David, in captivity in Gaza?
Under the rules of war, parties to conflicts cannot use starvation of civilians as a method of warfare.
This includes depriving them of food, water, or other essentials needed to survive, even if it does not lead to death but causes suffering.

ALT Does international humanitarian law (IHL) prohibit the use of starvation of civilians as a method of warfare? Yes, IHL prohibits the use of starvation of civilians as a method of warfare. Starvation in this context means deprivation of food, water or other things necessary for survival. The deprivation doesn\u2019t need to be so severe as to cause death; it is enough that it would cause suffering. Using starvation as a method of warfare means provoking it deliberately. A prominent example is deprivation of food and water during sieges.

Emotional moments: On this day, October 13, 2025, the last living hostages kidnapped by Hamas into Gaza on October 7, 2023, finally returned home to the arms of their loved ones.
We will never forget what they endured. We will never forget those murdered on October 7 and those who never made it home from captivity in Gaza alive. And we will never forget the horrors of October 7, 2023.

Mind u this is a real picture of Sinwar pretending to be a woman to avoid IDF strikes, cause no one knows better than him we don’t target civilians, especially woman and children

“Algunos eligen defenderse desmarcándose: yo no soy israelí, yo no estoy de acuerdo con Netanyahu. Todo eso puede ser cierto, pero no sirve: te atacan como judío, entonces te tenés que defender como judío”, dice @dieguez_.

Captain Smit Machchhar, you are a hero of Israel, India, and all of humanity!
In my letter to you which you received over the weekend, I shared our prayers for your full and speedy recovery.
As I wrote in my letter, I look forward to welcoming you to Jerusalem once you regain your strength. On behalf of the people of Israel, I would be honored to present you with Israel’s highest recognition of civilian heroism, the Israeli Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism.

Why were “several hundred Palestinians” dead by the end of Oct. 8, @mehdirhasan?
Perhaps because thousands of Hamas terrorists and other armed Gazans had just invaded Israel, massacred civilians, taken hostages, and were still fighting Israeli forces.
Yet you cite an undifferentiated death toll as though every Palestinian killed was an uninvolved civilian.
And no, declaring a siege that was not actually implemented is not proof of genocidal intent.
But why bother with combatants, context or legal standards when you’ve already decided on the verdict?

So, basically the @ICRC strategy was to ask Hamas “please, pretty please” can we see the hostages? And when Hamas said No, the Red Cross just abandoned them! To their eternal shame, they saw not a single hostage in captivity. They were no more than glorified Uber driver.
