Very Excited about this release! I am so inspired by the fullness and joy of these masterful violin duets, and also that it is a husband and wife - shows how music, especially improvised, can be the most intimate of communication
Thrilled to be releasing violinists Trina Basu & Arun Ramamurthy's debut record NAKSHATRA on 1/20/23. The duo draws from Indian classical music, Western chamber music & jazz to create a sound that as @NewYorker said, is “free-flowing & globe-spanning.” youtube.com/watch?v=ac64VlrE…

Honored to have contributed to this compilation. Fellow lovers of Clive unite!
2/2: All money raised is going to the restoration of recently discovered recordings of Clive from the 1960s onwards, and to the production of a documentary.
The 29 tracks have quite the transatlantic line-up, fellow travellers from all over: spiritofclive.bandcamp.com/a…

Adding my voice to the chorus — a fantastic record.
Lou Turner :: Microcosmos
aquariumdrunkard.com/2022/09…
Lou Turner’s 2020 LP 'Songs For John Venn' was a striking debut, but 'Microcosmos', Turner’s follow-up, is even better. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter has delivered an album that solidifies her status as a modern master.
Been a minute since I've played a show, excited to dust of thee old fiddle for this one

Seriously this record features some world class songwriting and is a pleasure to listen to. Check it out if you haven’t already!!!!
Nashville songwriter, musician, and poet @lou__turner's celestial "domestic troubadour" record MICROCOSMOS, which @rosyoverdrive called "absolutely the work of a skilled songwriter at the peak of their output," is out TODAY! louturner.bandcamp.com/album…

"[Cups is] a totally charming album that bares the unspoiled essence of its creator, a thoroughly engaging artist forging her own singular path upon the resilient precepts of the past." @nodepression

Still floating high on inspiration from the @3lobed festival this weekend. First music show for my little one as well, (except for what we play him in the house...and all the dumb songs I make up for him all the time) so extra special!
Here’s a playlist for your weekend, and an announcement that Cups is taking new form as a CD with a couple of extra songs included!
About to drop a Deluxe CD version of Cups on June 24th, this week Sally Anne Morgan (@ratbee) takes the wheel of our Weekend Playlist to enjoy new motherhood, revisit inspirations and say "genre is dead, it's all folk music!".
