I need to do this for my Mom's tv
Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon! It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix. Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher. Looks like an Apple TV now lol

This is the real problem with adult friendships. We fret about our houses being messy forgetting long evenings spent with friends in tight apartments, with a bottle of wine and a quicktly put together dinner. Now it all has to be perfect before someone steps in. And this is me too. Calling myself out
Can we PLEASE normalize just hanging out at each other’s houses again? Why does every friendship meetup need to be a whole production, a restaurant reservation, and a $150 bill? I just want to sit on your couch, drink something, and talk for hours.

Someone should build a "Where is Neha" bot so interested people can track if she is in jail or free xitter.cf/neha_aisa

But what is life if you cannot even travel and see distant lands
International travel is biological wreckage. It's not my intent to rain on your parade or suggest you not travel. I learned first hand from measuring my biomarkers traveling to China, India and Australia. Sharing to be useful in your life decision making.

"I belong to a generation which believes that social media is not separate from physical spaces.." In every generation of political leaders, there is someone who gets tech / social media in a way that it leaves everyone else miles behind Thats Neha Bora for India right now
'I belong to a generation which believes that social media is not separate from physical spaces.. if I had one eye on the camera, I would have probably fallen off the barricade!' says @neha_aisa on becoming an Insta viral face.

YT recommended this video and I thought it's some AI slop but turns out it's a real guy who tried DMT and saw Vishnu (?) and the comments are full of white people confirming that they too keep saying Hindu gods when on psychedelics or deep meditation. I am so confused by this

Yes please. You did start it all.
The internet should help us find our people. Friendship. Community. A place to belong. Help me bring Orkut back in that spirit. Add your name at orkut.com and share your supporter card with someone you want to bring along. Love, Orkut

I want robots that do the annoying things humans suck at. For example, blow drying hair and making it look salon level. Can someone build that. Bet a lot of women would pay a lot of money for that

What wayne does not get (or pretends not to) is that the Indians who win spelling bees are ones who show early talent for it. No untalented striver is going to win a spelling bee
“You don’t study for the spelling bee” is a deep and important aspect of American culture. I was at a baseball game discussing some young players with a buddy one time and he said to me offhandedly, “hard work is fine, but nothing beats talent.” Americans have this sort of sense that there’s something a little off about working really hard to get good at something that you’re not naturally good at. You’re never really going to be on the same level as the guy who has a natural talent. We have room in our hearts for scrappy little guys who work hard, but we are by default suspicious of grinders and strivers. If you were really meant to do it, then you’d be naturally good at it. You sign your kids up for little league, but you don’t take it too seriously unless they show remarkable early talent. Yes, this sounds sort of ridiculous if you take it too literally. No, nobody is saying that there’s any kind of practical test for this or that anybody should be excluded because we found out that they secretly studied too hard. But this is a part of American culture. And if you can’t understand it, then that just marks you out as foreign to that culture to an even greater degree.

so well put: "The reason to go to a good college/university is no longer for knowledge. It is to meet people who are better than you. People who can humble you and push you." I went to grad school at Brown, post-doc at UC Berkeley. The people I met were the most important part of the those experiences. Smart, curious, passionate - I carry those lessons everyday
Replying to @Indrani1_Roy
Why am I telling you these? The reason to go to a good college/university is no longer for knowledge. It is to meet people who are better than you. People who can humble you and push you. In the past decade since I graduated, this has become all the more valid.

Who is in need of restaurant reservations daily? In the era of DoorDash? Restaurants are often empty with a line for delivery.
Instinct CEO Noah Shinn says an agent could check every restaurant in the world for a table every five seconds and predicts the internet will be rewritten in the coming years "Although I'll be clear, I do think that in the coming years, I think the internet's going to be rewritten. I think that the way that most people on the planet interact with software is going to be very, very different." "To break it down, though, I think in the short and medium term, famously, maybe reservations is one where, like booking a reservation." "So historically, how is that done? Well, the human has to go on to the site and to go to whatever restaurant that they care about and then click through the site and then put their two people, this time, and try to get it right and then if they don't get it they're just too late and it's first come first serve." "But then now when you have an agent you can theoretically just have the agent check every five seconds not just across that one restaurant that you really care about that's your favorite restaurant you can't get in." "Sure that's one case right but what if it's doing that across every site in the world for every restaurant in the world in every major city. Right. And now you can see how the agent is able to exploit just something simple, like restaurant reservations."
