We've made a new video on the scrapped handheld Nintendo was planning to release after the 3DS. This new video is totally rewritten from our old one, with more accurate info and information on a phase of development which was missed before. Check it out: youtu.be/HZ1X5DkCFOM
The fundraiser was a success! We are now releasing 12 prototype builds of Shantae: Risky's Revenge for the DSi, along with a pitch for an unreleased Shantae title - but there's still more to get! The seller has offered 22 additional builds for $500, so we're still raising money.

SpotPass is a feature on the 3DS and Wii U that allowed Nintendo to distribute data over the internet, such as special event items or characters. When Nintendo shuts down the 3DS and Wii U online servers on April 8, these SpotPass features will be lost - without your help.
(1/3)
By contributing the SpotPass data from your 3DS or Wii U systems, we can archive the SpotPass data from many 3DS and Wii U games such as Mario Kart, StreetPass Mii Plaza and Pokémon, and eventually allow them to be used on replacement servers like
@PretendoNetwork. (2/3)
To learn more about how to contribute your SpotPass data, visit the SpotPass Archival Project website: spotpassarchive.github.io
You can also join the SpotPass Archival Project Discord server: discord.gg/qSH7eJ3bsw (3/3)

Discoveries from the Nintendo Gigaleak show that Nintendo and Nvidia were working on a prototype DS successor around 2006, using an early pre-Tegra mobile chipset. Check out our new video about this lost piece of Nintendo history - more coming soon!

The recording of the Gekko stream is now up on YouTube! This shows the board at the completion of the BGA swap, it being installed into a retail GameCube, it booting up for the first time, and running the official CPU info tool as well as a retail game. youtu.be/watch?v=tmGN3obTm1E
DeadlyFoez has successfully installed an engineering sample Gekko CPU onto a final GameCube board! It boots up, runs games, and the official software for checking the processor's revision identifies it as "DD1.0 or 2.0", with no ID (final is 2.4 and has an ID programmed)
NERD, the division of Nintendo which developed several official emulators including the GC/Wii emulation in 3D All-Stars, has put up a job posting requiring experience in C++ 03, the C++ standard used for Wii and DS/3DS games. It seems Nintendo's working on more Wii/DS emulation.
TotK's codename is "EX-King" (BoTW's is "U-King"). This confirms a leak from 2021!
(Splatoon 3's codename ended up being "Thunder" instead, but they said they were going off memory, so they probably just mixed it up.)

Replying to @HiccupJul
I don't remember the full codename but it was "Red"+Something.
Other codename I remember, If I'm not mistaken it, Splatoon 3 is "Lightning" while the Sequel to BotW is "EX-King".
We've made an unboxing & demonstration video of a complete-in-box Wii NDEV development kit, in its original box and including almost all the original items! Check out our new video about this unique piece of Nintendo hardware: youtu.be/14aoj2uQpy4
Leftovers found in a pre-release version of the Switch's OS (0.8.5) show that Nintendo was planning to include multiple theme colours, but removed this feature shortly before launch for unknown reasons.

We've dumped a Wii devkit containing a few leftover files from the unreleased Factor 5 game, Star Wars Rogue Squadron: Rogue Leaders Wii. You can download it here: archive.org/details/ndev-dum…
Thanks to @PaulFelixKelly for providing this!
Some hints in the Wii U's operating system and other sources indicate that Nintendo might have planned and scrapped a major upgrade to the Wii U. Check out our short about this possible lost Nintendo console!
