Tried doing a bit of reverse engineering on the Performance Score using end of match screen shots and more detailed numbers from Riot's API on utility usage, econ and damage numbers. The sample this is built on is quite small still so I'll adjust as I learn more.

As one of the people who should've been most affected by valorant's new performance score update (high frag duelist) I STILL find myself getting mvp/2nd after a good game, if the system has been fucking you over that means YOU are a selfish baiting fuck. Simple really

Sure, but atp just play triple controllers, like whats the point of this system if you can just spam smokes play bad and get mvp's because you have one thing to do every round, like- imagine the jett that entrys and get two but omen because he smoked those spot, hes a more vp

I dont think bad smokes would give then mvps, it will count skill usage, but probably not assists, and i think it makes more sense have 3 initiators, in the way u r pointing, like useless spots and bangs

Ok i think most of you got it wrong. I did a little test with valorant new performance score and it seems that you got « trades » IF YOU GET TRADED and not if you trade someone !! So stop baiting please it’s pointless

Trades are significant but people are not gonna start baiting more just for performance score, people already bait a lot, also baiting is not necessarily a bad thing if you comm and play with the team

Why? The trade one is: If YOU die and YOU got traded. Not if you kill someone that just killed your mate

seems like trades overall are way to heavily valued, same goes for plants and diffuses and assists. I saw someone drop 14/22/21 on miks and mvp over someone 26/12. Some agents also produce assists with no effort at all. They desperatly need to recalculate and renew the system

I've lost my MVP due to this performance change. Tho I don't have a problem with the system itself, I think performance score should be agent based. Agents like Skye, Miks, Sage who can get easily get assist shouldn't be getting insane scores imo. It's unfair for other agents.
