Over the weekend, I had the honour of attending the Dinner and Award Night of the University of Calabar Medical Students Association (CUMSA), where I received the AWARD OF MERIT for BEST ALL-ROUND STUDENT. 🏆 This recognition celebrates my strides across multiple endeavours while maintaining excellent academic performance. In student leadership, I have held several offices over the years and currently serve as Senator representing my Faculty in the Students' Union Government (SUG), where I diligently discharge my legislative and constitutional responsibilities. In business, I own and manage Spark Essentials, a growing brand supplying essential student needs within and beyond the University community. Beyond these, I represent my Faculty in various curricular and extracurricular activities, from debate and public speaking competitions to inter-school quizzes. I also actively volunteer at public health outreaches. Through it all, by God's grace, I have maintained strong academic performance, earning distinctions in Medical Biochemistry and Clinical Pharmacology in my Part I and Part II MB Professional Examinations, respectively. This award is particularly meaningful to me because it recognises the possibility of pursuing excellence across multiple fronts without compromising academic success. I am deeply grateful to CUMSA for this honour. Above all, I give thanks to God for the grace, strength, and enablement to keep pushing. To my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me along the way, thank you. Your support means more than words can express. This is a reminder that there is room to grow, do more, and become better. It can only get better. 🥂
