ALT Standing in front of the 4th tallest statue in Africa, the beautiful sculpture of Queen Moremi Ajasoro in Ile Ife. Legend had it that she was married to Oranmiyan, the son of Oduduwa, the first king of Ile-Ife. She lived in the 12th century. In order to win a war and protect her kingdom she sacrificed her son Oluorogbo to Esimiri river, a promise she made before going to war.

ALT Today, as Guest Speaker on the topic: “Revitalizing the public library system for national development” I was also honoured by the best set of humans on earth, Librarians. It was the Annual General Meeting of the Nigeria Library Association, Lagos State Chapter. There I receive Award number 245 by the Nigerian Library Association Lagos State Chapter. I do appreciate this recognition and I grade it as one the finest in my collections, in the last 19 years of running the CRIMMD free public library in Lagos. Thanks so much to our able Lagos Chairperson, Dr. Ajayi Taiwo and her executive members.
