We are now on bluesky! I have also made an account there (rapacalaj.bsky.social) that will be my main academic account moving forward.
Especially the events of last summer here in the UK should be a warning call and I hope others will follow! #eXit
On to bluer skies, fellow scientists!
#bluesky
I'm not active there yet but have set up an account under the same handle (rapacalaj) and will be using this moving forward.

been quiet here but not unproductive. is this still the right place for academics to talk about science and do outreach? I highly doubt it.
so where do we go from here?

and of course there is an ulterior motive for being back on twitter:
I'm giving two talks at #S24MRS in seattle this week. come and say hi Wednesday and Thursday!
the first talk is on a model evaporated OPV system provided by @heliatek investigating the effect that morphology has on performance. the second focuses on changing interfacial energetics in PM6/Y6 PHJs & a little side quest about efficient charge generation (or not) in neat Y6.
not sure if anyone is still here but just wanted to let y'all know I recently did something somewhat noteworthy (is that how to start a post in linkedin lingo?):
last month, I completed my PhD viva. thank you to @Shoaee_lab and @JNelsonGroup for a very enjoyable discussion!
also thank you to all past and present JRD and JSK group members, cohort 10 and everyone in the @CPE_Imperial as well as everyone @info_specific.
thank you also to my hosts in South Korea at GIST and the amazing collaborators @heliatek.
@durrant_group @Nano_Imperial @atip_pg
and as so often is the case: I forgot to credit the collaborators providing the simulations! @OghmaNano
Operando PL King @WeidongXu7
🤝
Simulation Queen Lucy Hart
This has been a while in the making & really started coming together with Lucy's simulations & mobility data by @JuliannaPanidi. Glad to have seen the journey from start to finish.
How do mobile ions and interlayer energetics affect the charge accumulation in #perovskite solar cells?
@WeidongXu7 & Lucy Hart combine voltage dependent photoluminescence measurements and drift-diffusion simulations to answer this and more...

So many congratulations to Jenny for receiving the Cherry award at the 50th @IEEEPVSC. Very, very proud group members here, wishing we could be there to celebrate 😌
Congrats to Jenny Nelson @JNelsonGroup winner of the Cherry Award at the 50th @IEEEPVSC , another model of great scholarship and great humanity. Enjoyed the retro photos from the introduction!
Giving a talk at #hopv on evaporated OPVs provided by @heliatek! I'll focus on how morphology affects device performance.
Monday, 1C2, 1630.
Modelling by @OghmaNano, ultrafast data by @YifanD, morphology data by @IPFDD & some stuff by yours truly.

Wrote this wee twitter thread about our new paper out today! Click, click, click, cite, cite, cite, my friends xoxo

First day in the lab at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (@GIST_science)! I'm going to make my first set of organic solar cells in like 3 years 🥹
Broke my own OPV efficiency record with the PM6:Y6 cells today 😇
Which isn't hard when the most efficient blend I coated so far was PCE10:IDTBR 🙃
