A farmer, tired of rats destroying his crops and stealing his grain, came up with a clever but cruel plan. He threw a dead pig into a deep, abandoned well. Attracted by the smell, nearly 80 rats rushed into the well to feast on the carcass. At first, everything seemed wonderful. There was more than enough food for everyone, and the rats ate until they were satisfied. But when the food was gone, they discovered something terrifying. The walls of the well were too steep to climb. They were trapped. Days passed, and hunger turned into desperation. Desperation turned into aggression. The rats that had once eaten peacefully beside one another began fighting for survival. Eventually, they began killing and eating each other. One by one, their numbers dwindled until only a single rat remained. Its eyes were bloodshot, and it had survived by consuming its own kind. Then the farmer returned, lowered a rope into the well, and rescued the last surviving rat. But he didn't save it out of kindness or compassion. The farmer knew the rat had learned to survive by hunting other rats. When he released it into his fields, it would continue killing its own kind instead of eating his grain. The farmer had turned his enemy into his greatest weapon. And that is the lesson of divide and conquer. Those who control the trap don't need to fight the battles themselves. They simply create the conditions in which others turn against one another. The rats believed their enemies were the other rats. They never realized that the true enemy was the farmer who had put them there. The greatest danger isn't always the enemy standing in front of you. Sometimes it's the one who created the conflict and stands quietly watching you destroy each other. Before you turn against your neighbor because of their political beliefs, ask yourself who benefits from keeping Americans divided. While we fight each other over Republican and Democrat, we may be overlooking those who profit from the conflict. Perhaps the real question isn't which side you're on, but who built the well—and why they want us fighting at the bottom of it.

If you spent your teenage years hanging out at roller skating rinks in the late '80s, you KNOW this song was guaranteed to come on. The second that beat hit, you knew exactly what time it was.

It’s OK to admit the SEC is mediocre this year. This is a safe space.

I will never forgive The Source Magazine for basically saying this was the weak link on the album when it’s literally a Top 3-4 song on the album. Who was the reviewer? Are they still around?
This song been on my mind all week. A masterpiece, is what that is. Dr Dre ft Snoop Dogg "Lil Ghetto Boy" '92

Approximately 15 million colonoscopies are performed each year in asymptomatic patients in the United States. There is no evidence that colonoscopy is any more effective than the fecal immunochemical test (FIT) and/or Cologuard. The overuse of colonoscopy is emblematic of a larger problem. Too many specialists (not only gastroenterologists, but also urologists, dermatologists, and mammographers) have become dependent on revenue from cancer screening, as have the health systems for which they work. Screening is a great way to attract new patients. Although few will have cancer, many will be said to have signs of cancer (requiring further evaluation) or be at elevated risk for cancer (requiring further monitoring). 💵💵💵 🚨 A colonoscopy is performed with an endoscope, a reusable optical instrument that can be cleaned but the vast majority are NOT sterilized. While the technology to achieve complete sterilization exists, standard medical practice relies on a different process called High-Level Disinfection (HLD). This is because the physical design of most endoscopes makes actual sterilization incredibly difficult. The risk of perforation from colonoscopy is 2-4 times greater than that from flexible sigmoidoscopy. Make an informed decision before agreeing to screenings.

Jim Nantz says Mike Ditka used to pay and tip for everything with $100 bills, and never ask for change “I noticed early on that all he carried were $100 bills. All he did was peel off hundreds all the time. Buy a beer at the bar on the way out to dinner, ‘Yeah, give me a Budweiser.’ $100. Keep the change.” “Coat check, comes into a restaurant, comes out, $100. Man on the street, homeless, there was one guy that kind of understood the routine and he was there every week. Mike, every time, $100 bill.” “I finally got up the nerve to say, ‘Hey coach, why don’t you ever get change? Why just the hundreds?’ He says, ‘Hey, what’s the difference anyway?’” “He said, ‘You know, the way I look at it, when I die and they drop me down into the ground, I hope there’s a little opening in that coffin and my last $100 bill comes flying out and goes up into the sky and drifts away. That would make me happy.’” “So I said, ‘This gets a little pricey, doesn’t it?’ ‘It’s not that bad, Jim.’ He said, ‘Here’s the way I rationalize it in my head. We got 20 weeks. I come every single Friday to New York. I come in with 50 $100 bills, $5,000. And at the end of the season, I’m spending $100,000.’” “He would say, ‘I’ve allocated $100,000 to the football season to go enjoy myself in New York. And that’s the way it is.’ I take $5,000 in cash in hundreds every single week. And that’s what he did.”

A lot of people are asking why LSU and Oregon are still ranked, but there’s a very simple explanation: the voters don’t actually watch football.

The AP Poll is funny... Oregon has wins over #23 and #19 in their poll, but close losses to #18 and #12, so they aren't ranked... LSU has losses to #15 and #9... and has beaten... No one. Their best win doesn't have a single AP vote... They're ranked 22nd.
