The Health Minister delivered the keynote address at the @RCoANews Anaesthesia 2025 event.
Minister Nesbitt said: “As Health Minister I am committed to continuing to work with Health and Social Care (HSC) staff and the Royal Colleges to drive forward service transformation and deliver sustainable improvements for patients and staff alike. Initiatives such as the development of elective care centres, rapid diagnosis centres and mega clinics are already making a real difference in reducing waiting lists.
“Anaesthetists have played a vital role in these improvements and have made a considerable difference in challenging times to improving the HSC, ultimately for the benefit of its patients. I look forward to building on this progress as we move forward.”
