The Door Opens
Another shitty night. One of the worst. I went to sleep at eight o’clock after taking my medication and by one o’clock I was wide awake. Not only that, my head had become jammed down the side of the bed.

Stay with me friends, don’t let me go.

I’m so thrilled to see my mum’s recipe here - learnt from her mother who learnt it from her father who ran a restaurant in Southampton for the well to do before the First World War. Delicious now as ever! Thanks Nigella for this continuing thread of great British dishes.
