I couldn’t reply because you turned them off
Explain this “serious tone” the current story line has. It literally is the same stuff as CH1,2 & 3. A threat to the island/Zero point, a faction or person wanting to control things with a perfect reality and the seven being the heros- it’s no different.
You claim that the game has only leaned into a more realistic artstyle since Chris said this. That couldn’t be further from truth. Compared to CH5, the current visuals are far more saturated and cartoon looking. Additionally, even if they weren’t, Epic develops seasons up to a year ahead. We most likely wouldn’t see this style change until chapter 8.
Claiming it no longer aligns with the game is today is just silly. If a lead developer states that He and the other developers want to explore bringing it back and literally every comment reply is in agreement from the community- clearly it aligns with the game.

And yet a lot of players hate that style and prefer C4-C7.
And Chris said this, and at the same time, as we look at it, the game lean even more toward it's semi-realistic style. While the lore gets a more serious tone.
And it works really well like that.
Fortnite, I really do appreciate you trying because this does look better than before. However, the UI spacing and font is still so bad.
-BR logo is huge
-Reload logo has huge chin and forehead
-Play font could be improved immensely with italics and exclamation point

What if next season is a One Piece AND CH3 mini-season?
CH3 makes sense to return sequentially and story-wise and One Piece has been confirmed to be a big collab in Nov.
Epic probably doesn’t consider CH3 to be popular enough to stand on its own just like CH2 with adding artists in Remix so it makes sense to bring it back alongside One Piece
Hear me out
Fortnite has got to be planning a HUGE launch in order to compete with GTA6 and it’s gonna affect every aspect of the game
-BR+OG end the same day=combined events Dec 5th
-Multiple hints pointing to a return to FN’s more wonky style
-NAE Comp announced return in Dec
-World Cup coordinates found in trailer (WC2?)
-Ranked 2.0 announced earlier this year
I’m thinking we see something like a FN Book 2. With a huge refresh and a true return to that FN feeling alongside giant events/updates like World Cup 2
Still don’t understand why the BR playlist has a giant chin and forehead with no image and Reload and Blitz get a nice looking background image
Such an easy change that would add a nice touch to your “main” mode @FortniteStatus

I've always envisioned Fortnite releasing a huge update that returns everything to roots (obviously in an updated and modern fashion). Burbank, and sylized UI elements return, wonky artstyle returns to the graphics, etc. I love how your menu concept reflects that idea. CH8 would be the perfect opportunity to pull this out to compete with GTA6.
Also hearing how OG and CH7 end on the same day and could possibly combine events would be huge
Just randomly remembered Donald posted this right before CH3 launched and to this day have no idea what he meant by it
Anyone have any idea what it was? We didn’t get ship it drones back until CH4 and the Ship It warehouse was in CH5 I believe
This is the least I have played Fortnite in 6 years and I had some thoughts about it that hopefully a lot of the diehard community can resonate with.
They had the perfect formula for their game from CH1-3. The story was deep and intriguing and was reflected so well all throughout the game through gameplay, quests, events, and trailers- in a way that the whole community was involved with. A BR centered game meant a unified community and a more polished game. No creative AI slop, no dead game modes. The game had a unique artstyle and creative direction that could be found in game through its graphics, and all throughout the menus and lobby. Before Fortnite started tampering with core elements of the game (graphics/artstyle, UI, movement animations, etc) community morale was far higher and the amount of pushback and complaints were much more manageable. This is all without mentioning the mass firing and the stepping-down of a beloved figure at Epic that absolutely had an effect on the game and its future. I understand that games have to grow and change to avoid being left behind but through all of the effort to stay relevant, what Fortnite was to all of us was left behind.
This isn’t to say Fortnite isn’t still a great game- it is, but it will never be the special game it was ever again. That’s absolutely something we can be sad about
