Back here for a brief minute to say I am working towards moving entirely to the other app, where you can find me under the same handle. I will try my darnedest not to peak into this godforsaken corner of the internet anymore, so if you need to reach out, my email is in my bio.
Twitter has been fundamental in me having a career today, and I have made some of my greatest friends through sharing silly memes and half-baked jokes around here. I will miss it terribly — what it once was, not the cesspit of hatred and ignorance it has become. Thank you all ❤️
I cannot believe the guy who wrote the book behind this movie is the next Vice President of the United States
It’s infuriating to see people in other countries around the world say it is not their problem who gets elected in the US. Wake the damn up.
I cannot wait for CONCLAVE to get the BENEDETTA treatment this awards season
Just saw “Conclave.” If you are interested in a film about the Catholic Church that could have been written by the editorial board of the New York Times, this is your movie. The hierarchy of the Church is a hotbed of ambition, corruption and desperate egotism, Conservatives are xenophobic extremists and the liberals are self-important schemers. None can escape this irredeemable situation. The only way forward is the embrace of the progressive buzz words of diversity, inclusion, indifference to doctrine, and the ultimate solution is a virtue signaling Cardinal who takes the Papal name of Innocent and who is a biological female. Since it checks practically every woke box, I’m sure it will win a boatload of awards, but my advice is to run away from it as fast as you can.
Very exciting to see women dominate the Best Director category at @BIFA_film this year, and what a selection this is!
The #BIFA2024 nominees for Best Director sponsored by Sky Cinema are:
ANDREA ARNOLD Bird
NORA FINGSCHEIDT The Outrun
ROSE GLASS Love Lies Bleeding
RUNGANO NYONI On Becoming A Guinea Fowl
RICH PEPPIATT Kneecap
I have mentioned this tweet to every single person I spoke to within the last 24h like the kid who ran through the Titanic telling everyone about it when they hit the iceberg
My dear dad has anxiously waited 10 months for his neighbourhood supermarket to open. The inauguration is today and he's been sending update videos in the family chat chronicling his day from the second he woke up to the moment he finally managed to go check it out. I love him.
I don’t watch Only Murders in the Building so I thought this was real for a minute and what a beautiful minute it was
Paul Schrader’s next films involve a pederast professor and a Wall Street-set erotic thriller.
