I’m over at @TGC answering the question, “Is the Trinity in the Old Testament?”
Short answer: yes.

Wrapping up the amazing memoir of Dave van Ronk, “The Mayor of MacDougal Street.”
I’m gonna keep on the same vein and probably read a Woody Guthrie biography next. I saw there are several out there. Anyone, maybe a native Okie, has a recommendation?

Matt Emerson's new book is up for pre-order thru @BakerAcademic at 40% off with free shipping.
It's genuinely one of the best books I've read on the relationship between theology and the biblical canon, and it should generate some good conversation on the topic! Pre-order here: bakeracademic.com/products/9…
If you are going to be in Denver this year for the Evangelical Theological Society, I will present the least ETS paper in there on Tuesday. Let's talk about Krzysztof Kieślowski, Robert Bresson, Joachim Trier, and Barth and Kierkegaard.

You should read anything @rafabelloo writes! I’ve read this essay and it’s very good.
The Hanover Review 4.1 features @rafabelloo's essay on "Christology and Merit in Anselm."
Read it and more from @MattCShrader, @eliblalock, and Leland Brown, now!

Just lead my Christology students through §58 of Church Dogmatics IV/1.
Taught them to read critically, but also to appreciate the architectonics he is re-formulating there. Powerful tool for forming a theological spirit.
My ★★★★★ review of The Seventh Seal (1957) on @letterboxd: boxd.it/d04KjF
After rewatching Bergman's "The Seventh Seal" yesterday (I watched first, probably, when I was 15 and understood very little), it will definitely make it into my classroom material.
I am mostly out of X. But I recently heard of the passing of Dan Treier and I want to share in the mourning of his passing. We weren't close, but the interactions we had, he was super encouraging
Friends, family, and the evangelical world at large will miss his wisdom and kindness
Revolutionary though this things are, they wouldn't exist without books and people who read them.
Read books, change yourself, and change the world.

Had dinner in a sports restaurant/bar with the family. I haven't been to a sports bar in years. Aren't meals supposed to foster conversation and communion? I like sports, but the concept of going to a place to look at a screen with loud speakers is borderline insane.
This is the first day of my fourth year teaching at @obunews.
So much has happened through these four years. I am most of all thankful to God for my colleagues and students. I've learned so much during the past three years. Here's to much more learning in the future.
I have a chapter in this new published book. “Holiness that does not separate: Bridging the gap between Christian models of sanctification and Jewish approaches to holiness” :
Hahahahahahahaha. Relembrar é viver.

Got emotional reading the end of Don Quixote. One of my favorite reads from my semester with @OBU_Honors.
We all need a little crazy. Reality is depressing.
