You haven’t really visited #Amsterdam if a bicyclist hasn’t yelled at you.

I used to doom scroll Instagram etc. while at the gym. Now those moments have been replaced by #Claude Code to build new, exciting things…. #wonderfultimes

Collection of insane and fun facts about SQLite. Let's go! SQLite is the most deployed and most used database. There are over one trillion (1000000000000 or a million million) SQLite databases in active use. It is maintained by three people. They don't allow outside contributions.

This! 💯There’s usually no need to actually see the password. Just copy it to be pasted to a password field.
Hey @Apple, I like the Passwords app but why do you show the password if I click on it? A click should just copy it. Directly showing the password is a security issue. Especially if you need the password during a presentation.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I can’t believe how shitty Screen Time on iPhone is. I bet the developers are not parents nor use the product themselves! #iphone #screentime

After being 14 years late, the new nuclear power plant #Olkiluoto 3 started regular production of power today, a day before the scheduled launch! In any case this is great news to #Finland.
Olkiluoto 3 is now ready.🎉 Test production has been completed and regular electricity production started today, Sunday, 16 April 2023. From now on, about 30 % of Finnish 🇫🇮 electricity is produced in #Olkiluoto.⚡️ 👉 tvo.fi/en/index/news/pressre… #OL3 #FinlandsGreatestClimateAct 🧵

Hot take: this mentality will get you left behind in the industry as a developer. Your responsibility is not to write pretty code, it's to provide value to the business. You do that by writing as little code as possible, using as much managed services as possible and by owning your application end to end.

I'd quit immediately. Not interested in setting up, managing or supporting the deploy process. I want to do what I studied for - develop and support the code.

You'd think every computer should be able to divide two numbers, but early microprocessors didn't have division instructions. The Intel 8086 (1978) was one of the first with division. Let's look at how it implemented division and why division is so hard.

My new essay @TheHill argues we need an AI rights movement. AIs are no longer just tools. They are quickly becoming digital minds integrated in society as friends and coworkers. The future turns on whether and how we include them in the moral circle. 🧵thehill.com/opinion/cybersec…

Make no mistake: LLM vendors will not want customers to locally run models: they want to have access to data, so they can use it for training, to get visibility in usage and, perhaps launch a directly competing feature later. Before rushing to use a new API, just know this.

Browsing an e-commerce site and receiving this error is sad from the shop owner perspective. And really irritating for a customer.
I managed to reserve a seat at #reinvent. Amazing! /a
