My daughter starts Kindergarten in 3 weeks. School told us 1 of 2 K teachers just quit. Eep!
It's a lovely Expeditionary Learning School in Denver. Project based learning, outdoor adventures and camping trips. A really cool job.

We're back at the bargaining table today, one of our top priorities is ensuring that all Marketplace employees are paid a living wage.
We heard powerful testimony from some of @Marketplace’s lowest-paid producers during our last bargaining session. They deserve a living wage under our new contract.

So satisfying to see a story come full circle.
I hope I get to be there too when we finally learn Pops' true identity. Do we have a triceratops on our hands? An eotriceratops? Something else entirely?
Since Rae Solomon, @KUNC, was here when Pops left, it was fitting she be here for its return! Thanks for sharing this great community story! (And did I really say "slap it together"? I meant repaired w/ the utmost care & surprisingly simple tools LOL). kunc.org/news/2023-03-29/a-t…

Pops the Triceratops' skull made its way back the Weld County Administration Building on Tuesday after an extensive two-and-a-half-year restoration. @raedear1 has the story on Pops' odyssey home, which required lots of patience, muscle, and even superglue. buff.ly/3ZrMiaZ
In 2020 Weld County’s most famous dino fossil was whisked away for some long overdue paleontological pampering. Pops the Triceratops is now home, looking sprucer than ever. Jury's still out on whether it's a new dinosaur species.
My latest for @KUNC

Individual sheriff's wield a lot of power in Colorado.
"Sheriffs 'alone can determine if they're going to set policy as well as enforce policy,'"
Example: CO's red flag gun laws.

Denver Public Schools board is finally out of their executive session and has moved into the public part of the meeting.
...This incident happened inside the school, and the board supported superintendent Marrero's move to bring SRO's back in schools.
Superintendent Marrero can't say how many students are on a safety plan similar to Austin Lyle. He says the number can shift day to day.
