holmes literally blackmailed her lead chemist into staying silent & he killed himself, she buried whistleblowers in litigation fees to keep them quiet, did trial runs cancer patients with a prototype that she knew didn’t work, & told a woman her cancer had returned when it hadn’t
grossest part is when Seyfried, who went Liz’s home, played with her children & believed she was a victim being manipulated IMMEDIATELY throwing her under the bus and shit talking her when confronted by the fact that she may have harmed her. Type of bitch to say “Im a girls girl”

I think these protests are effective because they expose liberal psychopathy of valuing objects more than human life

all right wing politics eventually converges on one single point, which is "it should be illegal to be mean to me"
yes, why shouldn't naturalized citizens be stripped their citizenship if they hold views that actively go against the interests of the majority and sow racial discord? this is a flawless argument that of course would have no downsides or unexpected outcomes.

I'll make this simple. It is irrelevant whether AI is conscious (it isn't). It is irrelevant whether being mean to the AI means you're a bad person (it doesn't). It is irrelevant whether being mean to the AI is bad for the society (it's not). It is irrelevant whether someone thinks that someone else being mean to the AI is a bad thing. Don't fall into debating any of these fake "arguments". They are there only to confuse you from noticing the real problem which is that Anthropic (and OpenAI, and EA in general, etc) are scheming to institutionalize themselves as moral arbiters of truth and set limits on what constitutes acceptable speech. What, you thought this was just about Anthropic and bullying the AI? Just you wait. Reject this cancerous growth from our society.
Effective November 12th, 2026, abusive behavior towards Claude will be a violation of Anthropic's Usage Policy.

there are some buzzwords in here sure but the idea that fossil fuels are part of a reactionary identity system seems easily defendable

The poorest billionaire in California will make about $300 million this year. If we pass the CA wealth tax, he will only make $235 million. In exchange, millions of the poorest Californians will get health insurance. That's the tradeoff billionaires are not willing to make.

So it turns out the guy who claimed he was too intoxicated to consent and Jane Doe actually assaulted him is the same person who messaged the Snapchat group, inviting them all to join in without her knowledge. This is a master class in DARVO and some of you on this app are falling for it.

you can’t convert to catholicism and immediately start beefing with the pope like there’s a whole other religion specifically made for that.

also relies on the assumption that women have an incentive to reframe consensual sex as rape bc being raped is somehow socially preferable to regretting sex when we know that just isn’t true
I have to be 100% honest, I don’t think a young woman feeling regret about a consensual experience and crying rape has ever happened. I think the framing is used to excuse the fact that coercive rape exists and is more difficult to grapple with than violent stranger rape

Replacing search engines with chatbots that lie to you, generating 30x the emails you won't read, nobody learns anything anymore and cheats on exams, online therapists that tell children to kill themselves...
The correct opinion is to be neutral to negative on AI art and pro AI for basically anything else

The concern over this tweet is reflective of how many people are trained to reactively first think about false accusations as the primary issue. Like if we can think of a way a law might be abused by a hypothetical accuser, we have to throw it out. Not reflective of real life.
Choosing to have a drink is not consent, and it’s never a license for sexual assault. New York law should reflect that. I support closing the voluntary intoxication loophole and will work with the Legislature to get it done.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
There is no law in New York saying choosing to drink means consenting to sex. Current New York law says voluntary intoxication does not invalidate an individual's ability to give consent, as it does not meet the state's standard of "mentally incapacitated". nysenate.gov/legislation/la… nysenate.gov/legislation/la…

Even in my replies now, the field of debate remains a hypothetical where “now all drunk sex is a crime!” People hear “we should close the loophole that lets rapists get away if the victim chose to drink” and rush to a made up world where survivors just report any old thing
