Is Native still Native?
project.pbxproj is dead 🪦
Xcode 27.2 ships a JSON project format (.xcproj): default for new projects, readable, merge-friendly, agent-editable.

Love working with OSS nowadays even as a library consumer a lot of times.
Never been so easy to submit a PR instead of creating a repro on an issue you're facing😅
I had a feature missing in react-native-vision-camera, submitted a PR and it already landed same day.
🚨new React Native library alert - capture a View or the whole screen into an image.
Built with Fabric in mind, works on new architecture only.
Render any content and let the user share it elsewhere.

Works with @expo out of the box.
Landed a new PR in @reactnative today, adds more hints for Android's TextInput so you can hint the field expects an email OTP or 2FA code.
But Android autofill is generally not ideal so it might not work on every phone or keyboard.
if you want to check all the fields added check out the PR github.com/facebook/react-na…
Wow react-native-streamdown by @swmansion is so fast!
Finally a proper solution to build markdown heavy LLM streaming apps.

"<1% of review findings are marked incorrect by engineers"
if you're using Claude for any proper review you know that's marketing talk. Amount of false flags in those reviews are way more than this
Replying to @claudeai
We've been running this on most PRs at Anthropic. Results after months of testing:
PRs w/ substantive review comments went from 16% → 54%
<1% of review findings are marked incorrect by engineers
On large PRs (1,000+ lines), 84% surface findings, avg 7.5 issues each
already found it, thank god asccli.sh
Configured agent-device by @callstackio in a recent project to the an app via an agent.
iOS: works so well (after usual apple provisioning crap).
Android: oh you started a camera and your screen is not 100% idle? No chance.
Android will always make it harder for you.
Best agentic setup with React Native isn’t about insane skills or clever prompts.
It’s static enforcement.
• Strict lint (stricter than you think)
• React Compiler
• RNTL from day one
• E2E on every PR
• Easy local device verification with agent-device
LLMs optimize for “passes checks.”
If you constrain the system, the output improves.
I think this is an interesting point to discuss.
Previously it was way cheaper/faster for any startup to ship React Native for obvious reasons. Now you can have to acknowledge that it's feasible to generate and support two codebases.
