I think a lot about the little moments in a product that people might never consciously notice. This was one of those. Making the waiting experience feel a little more alive, a little more playful, and giving people something to interact with. Seeing someone actually notice is such a good reminder of why I love doing this.

This was such a fun little project at fal. We explored everything from using AI to predict the colors of an upcoming generation, to matching those colors with our brand palettes, to little interactive experiments (one was even called "Ring Runner" 🏃). Eventually landed on something more neutral and subtle.

Spent a fun weekend with GPT-6 Astra, @fal Agent, and H3 Max from @fal, and finally built Capi. I wanted to make something useful: a tiny story world for moments when kids have big feelings and parents need different words. By lunch, my 3-year-old was asking for another story. Meet the Capi Villa. Capybaras are part of everyday life here in Brasília, so I made them the heart of this world. @fal Agent helped me create a consistent family, home, props, patterns, and claymation feeling quickly enough to keep exploring.

One nice thing this week: after a few years of waiting, the Design Craft trademark was finally approved in Brazil. So I pulled the logo back out and explored how its three overlapping forms could expand into compositions, patterns, and color studies. Triweave.

That led to a design question: chat is a useful and natural place to start, but it is not enough when you are making media. You need to see, organize, compare, and return to your references, outputs, and experiments. I spent a lot of time designing the UI around that work.

Consistency matters too. Making one good image is one thing. Making the next one belong to the first is harder. fal Assets gives Agent the characters, objects, and references to carry forward, so you can keep building instead of starting over. Very happy this is out :)
