Enjoyed supervising 1st years today on 1st clinical visit & hope they had a good experience! Feel like I've come a long way - had almost forgotten how scary it is to call someone's name out in the waiting room 😊 A privilege to see their 1st steps. #NewlyQualified #Radiographer

A wonderful few days away canoeing 66 miles on the Great Glen trail from Fort William to Inverness, camping along the way. Beautiful scenery & nature gave me a needed refresh and recharge. Back to ED tmo!
This was a nice surprise to come home to at the end of a busy week in ED. Celebrating 100 years of @SCoRMembers, although qualifying as a diagnostic radiographer in 2020 in the middle of a pandemic is something I won't forget! Hope I can do the profession proud 😊

Lovely socially distanced walk with family today (& picnic with homemade lemon drizzle cake 😍 whilst sheltered under this tree) #AHPsActive

I managed to cycle commute to work every day Mon-Fri this week. Over varying distances each day, I clocked up ~100 miles 😊 #AHPsActive

A beautiful day for a cycle commute... I even had a tailwind for some of it 😁 #AHPsActive

First gym weights session for a while yesterday. Forgot to take a pic but a selfie would have been similar... #AHPsActive

Cycle commute today = almost 2hrs riding. Much of my cycling route is on road or cycling paths through the city, but I like this little (slightly bumpy) shortcut through the wood 😊 #AHPsActive

2 bike rides today. I love my cycle commutes - they wake me up on the way to work and help me leave any stresses behind on the way home. Now an evening keeping my brain active with @NicholasBarlow1 chest reporting presentation #AHPsActive

Today was a crazily busy day, but one of the best days I've had for feeling part of a team. Sharing ideas, encouragement, trust and support. Today it felt good to be a radiographer 😊

Reminder: @NicholasBarlow1 will be hosting his second FREE online event on how to report a chest x-ray tomorrow (August 17) at 8pm. Don't miss out: sor.org/news/back-basics-how… @EFRadiographerS

What a difference a week makes! 2 rather soggy cycle commutes today, all in the name of #AHPsActive

What a lovely breeze on my homeward cycle commute today. Needed it after a mixed bag day being newly qualified 😕 #AHPsActive

Just gave a 2 hour online presentation. I hadn't quite appreciated quite how hard it is talking to a laptop! Now need to rehydrate, especially after wearing a mask all day!

20min walk each way to and from the hospital today. In my heat and broken aircon induced delirium (nearly 33°C in our dept 😩) I thought this cloud looked a bit like a pelvis #AHPsActive

Radiography staff are involved in so many diagnoses every single day, but they rarely get a mention. So please spare a RT of thanks for all of them - especially those who have been stuck inside in the heat today!

Felt better cycling home today after trying hard to hydrate during the day. Difficult when the air con is broken and wearing a mask/PPE all day 🥵 #AHPsActive
