Ditching the Gen 4 was one of the biggest mistakes the Nascar sanctioning body has ever made, if not the biggest. I honestly think it was worse than bringing in playoffs in 2004, which is really saying something. The COT was one of the ugliest race cars ever built, the Gen 6 looked good but raced like crap, and the Next Gen has both problems. The Gen 4 looked great and put on a good show, which is why it stuck around for so long
I wish there was a way to have made Gen 4 2.0 with the safety innovations brought forth by the Car of Tomorrow.
G4 was as close to perfect as it got for competition
Storylines kept me engaged.
As @jamiemcmurray once said, Phoenix hasnt put on a good race since 1989
Alan Gustafson moving to crew chief Zilisch would be great for that team.
Similar to how Chad Knaus went to William Byron to set the foundation before Rudy Fugle came over
"We want to make sure that [...] that we put him into a situation where he can thrive."
🗣️ @JeffGordonWeb & Rick Hendrick discuss how they are preparing for @ConnorZilisch's arrival to the organization in 2028.

I randomly watched this race leading into Phoenix as well.
Oh, have the mighty fallen hard.
I keep seeing clips of this race today. The most ironic part? It’s not aero or splitters or the Chase or stages or points.
This was the first race after it was announced Brian France would become the CEO of NASCAR.
It’s been downhill ever since.
Stats dont tell the full picture for Clyde in Sin City.
Was a top 5 car in both races in 2025 before a speeding penalty and uncontrolled tire penalty. As always with this team, need to execute a clean day
And this is why Im anti confetti

Since we are on the topic of terrible motorsports media, let me introduce you to Eric Estepp, if you aren't already aware of him. Here's my thing, these social media "influencers" try so hard to make it into the sport in some shape, form or fashion that they lose sight of the ball. We don't need NASCAR apologists, or more folks running cover for the sanctioning body. Hold them to account when they make boneheaded decisions, call them out, scrutinize. Be a journalist. I know that label has lost most of its meaning, but nevertheless. Give me a Robin Miller, you can keep the Estepp

For the best. It looked like the Spire guys, Alan and Blaney all went down in the kerfuffle. No intent on the crew members

Original 2026 KBB Chevy becomes a lost scheme
Heritage + Performance 🏁 100 years in the making.
To celebrate 100 years of Kelley Blue Book, we’re unveiling a special Centennial paint scheme that tells the story of where we’ve been, where we are today, and the journey in between.
From the #KBB100 logo to the signature pink inspired by our founder, Les Kelley, every detail was designed to honor a century of helping people buy, sell, and value cars with confidence.
We’re proud to see this story take the track with Chase Elliott and the No. 9 team this fall.
