So now I'll 'pile in' . . . so @derbyshiredales just tell us why you destroyed this meadow . No BS about contracts , just why you sanctioned its destruction , or neglected to protect it . . . simple question so 'pile in' with an answer
Here's some more film of what the meadow was like before you mowed it. A joy to see. Full of life.

What a sad thing to see. Get your act together @derbyshiredales - surely you can see that #nomow is the right way to go. Lower costs, massive environmental and wellbeing benefits.
This was to be a tweet praising @derbyshiredales for letting a beautiful meadow grow on a steep slope at Matlock's leisure centre. Yesterday at least 8 wildflower species; bumblebees; swifts overhead. Tonight all gone: mowed into lifeless 'neat & tidy'. Sad start to #30DaysWild

Inspiring trip to the Cairngorms with @RewildingB to see what is a massive area of rewilding and huge demonstration of hope for nature’s recovery. Special thanks to David Hetherington @cairngormsnews for the walk around and @PCairnsPhoto for meeting us.

To top this off we had a leveret (young #hare) make home in the garden today as well as a circlage of house martins - maybe 70 or more - finding food in the long grass in the acres behind.
Excellent positive articles about #weedthriller today in @Telegraph and @guardian and related discussion on @bbcradio4. Positive, proactive and possible for everyone with a garden or window box. Nature does respond! #rewilding

Nice to make an appearance in support of native wild plants on the @bbc this week. With huge thanks to @JudyHobson01 for the interest in our story and making it out to #RHSTattonPark to film.
Delighted to be featured by @BBCNWT and hope to inspire more gardens like this filled with native plants! @Love_plants @DerbysWildlife

1/2 Last weekend saw the first of @Sunartfields Fireside Talks: On darkness and the power of night. As we travelled 1.6m km around the Milky Way one of our stars - an Elephant Hawkmoth - surveyed the glorious flower meadow at Sunart. Coming up on 11 Sept...

If we are to tackle the biodiversity crisis we need more wild areas. Sign the call for wilder national parks from @RewildingB launched today: act.rewildingbritain.org.uk/… #rewilding
Looking forward to this, our first speaker event at the farm. The limited numbers mean it’s really as much a discussion, and @MarkCocker2 really is one of the most informed people I have met / read on nature so thoroughly recommend! Honoured to host him at our #rewilding site.
Sunart Speaks: You’re invited to two exclusive fireside talks inc discussion with @MarkCocker2 as he shares the gems of nature’s magic. Outdoor rewilding setting, Saturday 10th July, 2pm or 8pm, £25 pp, places limited to just 16 people and going fast, email to reserve a ticket.
When we're talking about 'nature recovery networks' it can be difficult to visualise on the ground. Here's a little animation to show how our countryside could - and should - be reconnected and revived. @KneppSafaris #rewilding youtu.be/CLKGbMI6RKI

Announcing we’ve been selected to participate in #tattonparkflowershow 2021 with our border entitled ‘Weed Thriller: Bedding in with the turfed out’. Showcasing how species seen in rewilding and chastised as ‘weeds’ can be beautiful in a garden setting too! #GardenersWorld
