What’s the most helpful thing you’ve learned about ADHD?
For me, it’s about motivation.
Neurotypicals are motivated by:
• importance
• rewards
• consequences
ADHDers are motivated by:
• interest
• novelty/creativity
• challenge
• urgency
Something I don't consider enough:
Today I couldn't get to the food I wanted at a service station because the lift was out of order and the food court was upstairs.
Yes, I could have bought different food downstairs but that isn't the point.
Access opportunities should be equal

The whole “increase to 32.5 hours per week” affects hardly any schools. It’s another dead cat, being used to stir up anti-teacher sentiment. The average teacher works a 50+ hour week, well beyond 1265 hours, but it won’t be spun that way by @educationgovuk or the media.
Trying to prioritise when nothing you _can_ do is urgent and all the things you _can't_ do are more urgent is frustrating.
